Didn't you start out on here doing the coloured ink stuff? I dont think I need to do the Pm thing as I dont want to be called a stalker
-
Were you there then Mike?

the world is not flat, but until it is on the OS or SSN news you'll have to keep believing.

good point GK Ive just edited it

iam happy that the club has survived. Are you Ginge's twin? Hardly prophesising more like terrified.

i can claim to have put up the meeting of the staff yesterday and them not being paid. Of course giving info out can be fraught with danger, as takeovers can fail over slight technicalities or demands at the last moment. It has supposedly happened to 2 of the people so far. Of course it would be better to be prudent and wait for the OS to publish any info.Perhpas that may be best at least you will hear the news 2 days later. The meeting yesterday was called for the staff, at that stage it was a case I had heard a whisper that the money due to be paid over met a hiccup and then having a call from a friend who told me that the wages had not been paid as well as the staff called for a meeting. My knowledge of liquidations/recievership is minute but had got the imprssion from people who have it on here that Fry would have to put the club into liquidation as soon as he could not pay a bill. That added to the info that the money had not in fact been deposited made me fear the worst. In fact 2 or 3 others were also worried who also have people they get info from. As for being emotional, I will accept that as i was seeing the club I have invested a lot of time in looked as it was going to the wall, of course I dont easily turn my back on it when things are tough so you wouldnt understand. That is not a dig just a truism by the way.

I wouldnt expect you would ever be in a position to need investment advice, and anyway its illegal as Im not registered to give it. You should contact all the big manufacturers and tell them how foolish they are spending on advertising on the radio as nobody obviously buys anything after listening.
-
Im surprised he didnt as he is a childhood friend.
-
You seem so bitter and twisted that I get some info. Some I can put up others bits I cant as I have been asked not to.You obviously are a motormouth and cant be trusted to keep secrets but don't give others grief as they do have integrity.
-
but if RC is slagging off RL about the radio station then IMO that is not right and so he's not speaking for me. I was fully expecting to see him at Saintsaid but i didn't see him. Until we stop pointing the finger the club will die.People who have no connection to us always point to the infighting at the club. United we stand divided we fall and all that.
-
Negotiations are at a late stage. If there are 4 parties still in I cant see how it is at a late stage.

When the radio station was purchased we were not expecting to be relegated.£1m is nothing when you are in that league. It had earnings that you cant quantify. What is 24 hour advertising worth a year? Especially as the people listening are in the main pro Saints and so likely to buy from the advertising. To me it was a good investment if we had stayed up. When Pompey radio is being broadcast and is pushing their club i expect fans will moan why couldnt we do the same.

what was said?

didnt we have some link to Roger Moore sometime ago.He lives in Switzerland and used to live in southampton?

behave you did make me laugh though. I agree with BTF on this, the lad under tremendous pressure has made something of his life.I like most like to take the #### but at the same time cant help feel humbled by people like that who actually make a life.

I watched the documentary last night on the Beeb. It was a programme that you couldnt help but find really funny but also very sad. I really couldnt help but laugh when the man took his dog for a walk and couldnt help but tell his dog to cross even though the traffic was coming.Fortunately the dog just seemed to know it was not the proper command and waited. A programme of laughter and tears

Does he really?

There was an agreement that if the loan went well we would take Robertson for 500k and they would pay us 1.2m

If his spelling is like mine it could have been Hoovering and so Dyson, Henry

Not a Leeds fan getting revenge eh Ron

How relieving it will be to actually get to my seat at the Northam to watch football again. Lets hope we can not only do that but have the weight of boardroom politics be left as a thing in the past. Bring on L1, we wont walk it but perhaps we will hqave the joy of watching our 11 mercenaries kicking a bag of air better than the opposition mercenaries can.

I do hope they do relaunch.Stewart Dennis seemed a good bloke and Gemma charming so good luck to them.

if you had kept to a fair debate like that everybody wins. Some fans were content to see us go into administration only to have the perverted joy of thinking that RL would be hurt. It was a mad concept and many tried vainly to argue against that. Those fans may now see that what seemed like a cakewalk, and we would be snapped up that are now hurt more than RL and co. You do not understand the frustration fans like myself feel. It is like seeing a loved one running into the road and you cant shout to them to stop them going to their death. Barclays pulled the plug they didnt put us in administration but I get your drift. The boards had let the overdraft get out of control , I agree, but RL came back and cut it down to the initial ask of £5m.A drop of 1.3m in a small period, the bank then asked for it to be cut again to 4m. That again was achieved. To me I would have thought the bank should have looked at us and thought,to cut that much in a year showed a real determination to get things back in order. Ok we needed to go over by 100k again but they did sanction the loan of a player just a few weeks before.Fry (barclays man) had sat in the board meetings and had a say and so must not have given any inclination to believe they would not carry on supporting us especially if we were trying to cut costs. For them to pull the plug 2 days after the deadline to stop getting the -10 was appalling.Fry at Barclays would have known this, that was a deadly decision as it not only meant we were going to be relegated it cut our saleable value and so Barclays hopes of returning the £4m was written off.Not that clever Imo. Without a doubt relegation was a catastrophe, but whoever was in charge at any time you adjust to those conditions at that time, you do not spend as if you are still in the PL. As for some fans who only turn up if the product is good, that is sadly true but it is catch 22 fans fail to turn up the revenue is reduced and so the quality has to be cut and so on. The club spent too much to perhaps to try and appease those people but who only then turned their back on it. Turning up to watch Saintsaid was very depressing, seeing just a handful of people there showed that there is apathy towards the fotball club.Perhaps it is decades of expecting to be disappointed has now made us give up.

Ohhhhhhh it sounded good though. I still feel if I was to support a NFL teamit would be them due to the saints thing
