  1. I had hoped to use your footballing brain but sadly science already had first dibs and the miniscule bit left in the corner of the jar is of little use, so 'go Phil and Ottery's dream team'
  2. That is fair but when was the 3 year plan talked about? If LC was holding back not giving him a contract as Fulthorpe was there, why would he talk about a 3 year plan for the same reason.? It is not so cut and dried. RL obviously didnt have any thoughts of keeping NP but i doubt that was in LC's mind when he didnt offer an extended contract. It all doesnt add up and I dont think all the facts are coming to light in an even handed way. I would suspect both sides of the fence are going to get some shocks as time goes on and so I would say to any who are pointing that they be a little careful as it could backfire.
  3. I would make it every 5 yards, because when you get tacked you will go 3 yards in the air add to that your forward momentum...maybe every 6 yards.
  4. I have forgotten him, it is just people on here keep reminding me about him all the time. I want the club to be more united and move on. I would be very suspicious of the Echo's piece as I suspect there are going to be bits hidden away.Until we get independent people looking at the figures and minutes we will get biased views. As for the football team thing, you would be welcome to be my No2, as that is what lots of people say you are...kidding.
  5. That is a revelation. I cant recall any player ever getting a contract that long at SFC before. For all the rubbish RL did I cant see why he would have sanctioned that. Money was his number 1 friend so why would hewaste it like that, there must be more to it.
  6. As the manager and thinking of players welfare are there fluids provided, ie water at halftime etc? I know we have lots of youngsters playing and they will have their packed lunchs and bottle of Ribena but what about for our older players?
  7. Im sorry i adore MLT as a person and player , but there is no way he is cut out to be chairman IMO. If he does bacome so I will back him but what experience does he have of doing that. As for the original part of the thread seeing the picture above tells me he is not able to be a kit man humping the stuff around again. If the club becomes cash rich then employ him again maybe. but as kit man?? If it means somebody losing a job to re-employ him that also has moral implications as well. It is great saying take the bloke on but at who's cost? Would we be happy to see somebody lose their job for him to return? Life is not always so easy as lets bring him back.
  8. I was never committed enough to be a fully fledged Rupette. I never went Wilde like some either. Iam in a cynical line of business where I meet lots of fantacists, braggers and just downright liars (not the police or politics..only kidding) and so am sceptical of peoples intentions. We have gone down the road of administration that many had championed, I feel comfortable that we at least will come out of the other side as there is an offer on the table. Who that will be or if their intentions are honourable only time will tell but i doubt it is Salz/Fulthorpe, as they have had over a year to get themselves ready and couldnt do so.
  9. Behave Stanley. I like yourself have reservations as I did under MW. the difference for me is that they are not coming out with the football first , fans on the board stuff. just MLT is backing them as he likes what they are offering. We can't be choosers. We went into admin as you had wished and will come out of it with whoever offers the most.
  10. I thought Monty Python were amusing though
  11. I cant get an echo until much later today sadly. NP would have taken a wage drop, if Jan was on 60k does it tell us what NP was on? The other thing that i wonder if anyone could answer is if LC and NP had a 3 year plan, why was he on a short contract that had not been quickly increased and also what were their proposals to cut our costs?
  12. I'll be pleased to read it. I would be interested what the source is and who has the editing pen that stops all the mishaps being put up. I thought it was common knowledge that AC went to visit RL the night before the boardmeeting telling him that the rest of the board did not want GH. The Shearer thing was also well known. Any information on the wages and all the board minutes for the last 5 years may be interesting.
  13. And I 'll be juming up and down and shouting 'you're dropped'
  14. what surprises me is that they have had weeks and are now surprised somebody has made an offer!! It was ahrdly fresh on the market. I assume they have hesitated and waited to see what league we are in before getting their act together. The team who have made the first offer must have factored in the relegation and so got in quickly. Smart move perhaps.
  15. That makes me feel better.Knowing that the Farmer was involved made me a little better , but it is dragging.Afterall we were told the club only had 8 days about 10 days ago
  16. funnily enough I look like Freddie Flintstone's better looking brother.
  17. again being cynical using MLT could be so they hope to put pressure on the administrator to accept what may be a lesser offer, or just to give them a little more time.We have to hope that the best bid is the best bid for us.
  18. I wouldnt as 1 of your teammates is already bringing his and Id hate for there to be a fallout about it.
  19. Oh that is disappointing....remember your pink laces
  20. I agree Fry has been impressive and the first person for a long time talking about Saints I would have real confidence in.Obviosly he is a smart operator, and is working for the creditors as expected but I hate this waiting game.
  21. Never would, and apologise if that was taken as I had badly put it. No just a case of my frustration knowing we have an offer and hanging around waiting for others to get their act together could cost the club its existance
  22. I normally try and put a positve front on here about the club.I was always against administration and like the Wilde bunch and RLs Dutch exeriment it was going to be a gamble.I live inhope that someone takes us over, whether we will recover at present Im not sure.
  23. Its not the minutes wasted but the funds will dry up sooner or later and we are gone, folded, finished, defunct and just a memory. The cynic in me tells me the administrator wants to increase his fees and so doesnt care about how long he takes, but that is down to my frustration in waiting for things to happen.
  24. You are excused for warming up as you are a 45 minute player , but you also may get more time, so save your energy.
  25. Good lad, I wouldnt like to get on Dubai's bad side on something as simple as not getting some pink laces.
