MLT is perfectly entitled to his own beliefs. He had no reason to hold his opinions back as he had no financial ties to the club.He may now feel the need to be critical, thats fine it doesnt matter to me.The club is more important to me and it is now time that if there are new owners they have the best credentials.

Well who is the gimp? read the opening line 'MLT told me tonight' not told us all.I get told lots of things that may or may not embarrass the person who said it in confidentiality. Perhaps MLT doesnt worry or said it for the world to know.I doubt the Monkou one would be though.

Very true Duncan. There are people who will be interested as the club will be a bargain price.Doesnt mean they will be people at all interested in Saints. Go to an auction of bankrupt stock and you will get all types bidding on stuff they wouldnt normally be interestd in because its leass than half wholesale. I doubt that the adminstrator will worry who buys as long as it is the best price.I think some of their charges may be based on price achieved.

i agree Mike but you cannot guarentee an improvement of income on the basis that the first team may string some wins together. Yes had we kept NP and some of the high ly paid players we may have won a few more games and perhaps more fans would have come in through the gates.By making definite cuts the bank would have been eased and so supported us(HIndsight shows differently) To me I think the only way forward for clubs in the lower leagues is that you have to start at very low cost base and then develop from there. Lowe did that job well but his decision to employ the wrong man of the 2 was our downfall.Again in hindsight , had he put Wotte in charge we may have won more games and so the crowds would have improved.I agree there are some who wouldnt go whatever but you cant spend your life in business just appeasing a few, as you then would have to appease those who were not going for other reasons. The core business waws to get the club on a sound footing and it surprises me that he had shown the bank that he had slashed costs.I can only assume he got up one of the bank managers noses(no surprise) and so they pulled the plug.It still was not a clever thing to do.I wish my business was with them as id move banks in protest.

Rebel if you read the bit in the Times that has been posted up they would have made us goners quicker if we had not taken the correct measures straight away.Unlike some fans on here barclays dont care that we worship a managerwho only won 3 in 17 games they worry if they are going to get their money back.To them we are a little zit on a face full of acne, they squeezed us when the boil was receeding.

It is only a small lapel badge but with a picture of the 1901-1902 ?(from memory)team that would have been worn by a fan then at games. To most it may be of little interest as just an old badge but as a historic collectors piece it is very rare as there wouldnt have been many made and also most would have been lost in time. Gary Chalk did some research for me for an item on this site regarding the RAF dog team incident and so I would like him to have first chance of it.

Im sure he will be delighted that his confidence has been broken. I doubt the Monkou bit (although fairly common knopwledge) will make him popular there either.

I think that is fair CS.Perhaps LC would have but Im a little unsure whether he would have liked to be that unpopular to do those unsavoury thigns that would have had the fans on his back. The point is we are now seeing a clearer picture and SOMEof Lowes strategy can be seen to be correct. To me it was in a financial sense a very good effort cutting those overheads to such a degree. I dont expect the more rabid antis to take it in but at least now we can see why it was all happening.

Well done to both of them Richards strikes me as a very worthy man to still be involved.

Couldnt we try quantative easing, thats the buzz word at the moment.Who owns a photocopier on here and then we only need to go to Staples to get the paper to print the notes on.Problem solved. Why didnt anyone think of it before

but Ron it was never cashed and so never a loan. As for the strings attached they might have been punituive. He didnt write one out for 110k to stop the bank pulling the rug.Not that he should but if it was there a while ago Id have thought it was paramount this week.

how about red and white. That has been sung a few times during games recently and the whole grund has joined in.Lets make it easy for everyone.

your judgement is under question BTF a Pompey fan as your other half and meeting Brown and listening to Benn. You do know how to pick them, what did you do bad in your last life????

Gary Chalk if you read this you recall that piece of rare memoribilia you wanted, i will let you have it and donate the money to the cause.

Richard Smith of Paris Smith and Randall used to sit the row in front of me at the Dell and a massive Saints fan as were his family.I would expect he would do the best he could for us without hesitation.

The ticket office have posted on here before, so suggest to them to give us an update rather than you having to keep calling in.

I wouldnt condone any attacks on Barclays. I would move from that bank if my business was with though. They will try and play the innocents as they would realise they could have upwards of 30000 accounts who were saints fans, if it upset the peole of Southampton a lot more of course. That would be a lot of business to lose.
