  1. Fair play, I accept your point and so apologise for taking umbrage. As for adults Im not sure. I do know my faults but if its in you its impossible to get it gone. I hold strong opinions about a lot of things and with conviction as well not that you'd notice.
  2. Why should i drop a few social classes OSM?
  3. Bloody hell that was quick...I bet all the girls say that. thanks again Ump. The first season down was over when he left then? My memory is going.
  4. Not at all. I highlighted the quote that showed your views of superiority and put a subtle dig that i had mentioned i ran a business (you put as leisure) in the luxury market. The dig made it seem perhaps as i couldn't spell well it may not really be the case. This is the internet we can all be James Bond if we wish, some come on and make stories about themselves to make them look better, smarter than others, i dont need to make myself look better than Iam as i am content with my lot and there are quite a few who know what profession I'm in. Not the oldest profession by the way but close to it.
  5. Thanks again UM. If we got 500k for him at that stage it was ok, but i thought it was 200k but i dont expect you to search again. can you recall the date about when RL left ?
  6. Coleman was spoken to about the job here. RL LC and other shareholders put forward questions tat were not aswered and so yes isuppose rL was part of the reason we werent taken over by them
  7. You know what nickh, you come on with your broken English, and atrocious spelling, saying you run your own leisure buisness.....[end quote] Do you know what,if I had been very good at school and learnt immaculate spelling and not used broken English I'd be on call now. So you can look down at me and others who are not good at spelling and punctuation etc but we do ok.It is always the funnier when people who scoff at those of us on here who cant spell perfectly are then pulled up by others.
  8. You are playing the wrong player and so I can see why you are making all the mistakes as I play with a left handed slice. Unless you can see that to a wealthy person price to a degree is not an issue you will always think that RL is stopping them to buy.The fact is that none are wealthy enough. If a 15m price tag is to much for them to afford do you really think they would have the resources to push us on? We need someone who losing 50m is not a problem, not somebody who buys the club needs to worry about the odd 5-10m.
  9. I think I'll pass OSM thanks
  10. i wont look it up as you are always spot on with your facts regarding timescales etc but i was surprised that Madsen was brought in under RL. I would like Blackstock back, although Best may one day be ok but i dont like his attitude. The rest is true, although we did let Blackstock go too cheaply.
  11. Our posts must have crossed. But i will fill in the bits for you. Getting the same price for all in a syndicate (if thats what you wish to call it) is the correct and honourable way. Unlike LM and KW who sold firsdt chance and not worrying about the others.I may also point out it was more of a cartel in the Corbett Bowyer days where you were only able to sell it seems to those already in the circle. Again if there is all these wealthy consortiums tyuo spoke about earlier it is no problem. if they want s so much they will spend a premium, and they are not being overcharged as the clubs value has fallen more than 50% in 2 years. All the boards i have supported saints under have been all talk no action, RL has been the closest to providing as in under his charge we got the stadium, none of the others ever did. I dont support RL (it is all too hard for you to understand) I wish what I believe is best for the club.I think he is best to get us out of the financial mess we find ourselves in.He is part of that as he was in charge in the relegation season but he is not the main reason we went down IMO. Iam open minded to another group taking over but I wont rush into their arms like a blindfolded nyphomaniac into Russel Brands bedroom like many on here did when the Wilde bunch appeared. Im sorry you get frustrated with my position but i have my own mind and am happy to make my own judgements as i ve hade to do since I left school at 16, the teachers then couldnt do anything with me and you have no chance whatsoever as you dont have any thoughts that are at all convincing.
  12. You obviously cannot read or just dont wish to accept my view. i dont know what you are on call about but i 'd hate it to be problem solving. You are entrenched that you believe RL has done no good whatsoever. That goes back to other posts days ago.(god give me strength)Your position seems to me that he has to go whatever. My postition is that hey all have to go, when a better alternative comes around. Not anyone but Lowe. That is not entrenched but sensible. Now go back and answer my bit about all these people you say are out there who want to buy the club and Lowe is stopping them.Tell me how these super rich peoplewho were going to buy the club when it was 65p a share will now not buy at 25p a share or 30p a share or even a £1 a share? The clubs market value is less than £15m so it is reasonable to say if you are offered double its value or even treble its value you'd sell. if there are all these wealthy people you said were there, why aren't they buying us? Oh of course mr less than 6% is stopping them LOL
  13. It may cause awareness but alos lose any sympathy they had with people not connected to the club.If you were at the airport waiting to fly off when those anti flying protesters ran onto the runway at Stanstead would you A) think , Oh good Im delayed thank you to those protesters i must support them b) those ########s have messed up my day, they get what they deserve and they are a bit of a rabble
  14. But come on if you are saying Best wasnt given a chance under Lowe and so he made the mistake. Best played in the PL at Everton when we we had an injury crisis. I think he was 16 or 17 are you saying Gb should have played him instead of buying Rasiak or loaning Madsen??? Gb should have made them part of the squad and brought them both through gradually but if Best had played many more games I doubt we would have made the play offs. Gb obviously wanted to play/sign more experienced players and so froze him out.
  15. That is probably correct. To me he is the face of the current board/club and so is pulling the strings.I have no arguement with you about that.
  16. Why should he? Just because he says what you dont like. He will obviously be more pro the current regime as they appointed him. Get over it, he will tow the club line no different to any other manager. Many of the campaigners believe they are doing it for the best, but that doesnt mean they are right.Unless they know the full facts how can they make a correct judgement? I respect the marchers as they did it for the right reasons and did it with dignity and reacted in the correct way when they got into the ground. The 2nd march they lost the moral high ground as soon as they sat in the road and also some had the Wotte out banners.
  17. I dont think there was a backlash but I think there was degree of gnashing of teeth.I myself dint believe it was going to happen but when it became more in the media i was alarmed. Of course there would have been much comment on the forums and perhaps it was so frowned upon the club/board took notice. I suspect he is closer to the thoughts of the club than ANYBODY on here and so why do we not believe it.The club would be hearing comments from all sides at that time , not only on the forums.
  18. Entrenchment is on all sides.
  19. Where do I say give him another chance? The fact is i say if he goes they all should go without exception. You and many others are only focussed on RL when it patently is the whole group.Who can hold their heads up and really say they did it right? LC comes the closest but he is not right longterm either. Iam happy to watch the football and wait, in time something will happen for the good and then I will be happy to wave good bye to the whole crowd who have overseen disappoinments a plenty over the years.
  20. Well as i alluded to above Um I could see the wood from the trees when MW bunch cane in, you sadly couldn't. Therefore perhaps you also should sit back and digest a little what you dont like to read on here as sometimes it is right. That is something that we all should take note of. it is not black and white. If RL goes and the rest are still left do you really think we have gone forward. As a figurehead yes as a solvent football club I myself dont believe it would be the case, but it is all opinion and like the governments quantitive easing it is a leap into the dark.
  21. i never saw Connors post and would like to read it. i think you have mirrors in your house (probably wise) as you are entrenched as well.
  22. Dear Schoolmaster, can you tell me how a man with is it 6% or less of the clubs shares is stopping us being sold? If as you say there are loads of wealthy men out there and consortiums why buying the club is so difficult. i have a business in the luxury market and know something for sure if a wealthy man wishes to buy something desperately price is not an issue. If a new ferrari is 250k and the waiting list is a year they will pay 350k to get6 one, the same would be if i had the money to buy SFC. There is nothing stopping people buying us, period. I admit to not wanting the Wilde bunch, I argued with the majority on here that they were all talk. Again I got the same smarmy abuse from Ump on that as well. Again I find it really amusing that we are told that RL keeps making the same mistakes and his critics arew doing the same.Lol. I myself have made mysdelf clear and will put it again (not in red) I want RL Askham, Wilde,Wiseman,Corbett, Crouch LM and all the others out. In saying that it is no use then them being replaced by another bunch of all talk no action people. Until then I will go and watch and support SFC through rough and smooth. I will not have a paddy because RL leaves and so not go again on principle the same goes for any other director, I really dont care if they are there or not as long as SFC is. I also say the owners/ board/ chairman have never done a thing for me as a fan, and I wouldnt expect much anyway as i pay to go and watch a football team that they put together and me in my foolishness feel attached to it as it is called Southampton, not Rupert Lowe 11 or Leon Crouch 11 because if it was i would have given up years ago.
  23. Well the lads at the front were confused when they were carrying their 'Wotte out' placards and when they were also interviewed for the telly. Now what was the march about? Was it to get Rl to leave as well as getting Wotte out, LC in, MC as chairwoman, LM to return? You ask a lot of the marchers and it would be a combination of Lowe out and a mixture of the rest
  24. Well you may have been able to mark your replies in red, are you a teacher? So 32000 turn up and some are neutral. What a surprise, every game has neutral fans there. The point which seems too high brow for you is that the crowds is dramatically higher when a glamour team come. The chairman is the same, therefore it is fair to accept that they turn up when the games are more glamorous or we are winning. not because the chairman is Lowe , Crouch Corbett or Michael Jackson. I call him the chairman as Lowe gets a bit tedious all the time. Well if you think there are hundreds of wealthy men or consortiums out there get off your backside and get 1 in.Nobody else has been lucky and it is not as though it isnr common knowledge we're for sale. 2000 x £30 is 60k is useful, but Im still sceptical they would all come back if RL left.It didnt happen last time did it? I wish for them all gone, and until then I will still support the team, I still went when the Wilde bunch rode into town and came in against my wishes i didnt sulk until they were gone.
