  1. NC Wotton is injured and i would to tell you he like KD is magnificent in bringing the team spirit together.SG deserves his place and there is no animosity because of that. I remember HR complaining that we had a quiet dressing room and under GB that carried on.KD PW BWP have got the dressing room full of laughter and spirit,a togetherness that an the old style English clubs got that little extra. I have not put this before as i thought some may scoff and make fun of before the fans could see how the morale had lifted a lttle ,but the team also do a huddle with the close staff in the dressing room before they go out onto the pitch. ALL the bits iam hearing from the dressing room are of a determination and togetherness. The players may not adore Wotte but they are growing to respect him and his methods.Have you noticed the way the team actually seem top know what they are doing and what they are supposed to be doing? A plan is being played to and so the players gain a belief not a confusion that was there until recently. We as Churchill said are not at the beginning of the end but perhaps are at the end of the beginning.(ps i do realise i am preaching to the converted)
  2. There must be something about Rasiak, he scored quite a few goals but lost a great deal of respect when he went all stroppy when AS wanted to take a pen a couple of seasons back.At present we have a team spirit, I respectfully suggest that Rasiak is not one that helps that.he also may score goals but it may be at the cost of his striking partners as he does not add to that.(I did see he set up a goal saturday)
  3. It is amusing the stick I got supporting JE and KD last season and now look at it now. You wait DMG will turn them around as well.
  4. I dont think RL is a master tachtician or the best thing since sliced bread. He has made some blunders.Keeping Jan too long as bad as many. He has got the balance financially right IMO and whether LC or RL attract more fans is unquantifyable. Good performances and winning put extra bumms on seats. Whether the atmosphere is better with a lot more fans Im fast realising is not necessarily so either. The crowd against PNE and Cardiff were in the main very supportive and real hardcore get behind the team fans that made the day that much more enjoyable.Having the plasic 'turn up when we are winning' lot and im not so sure that they are so understanding or forgiving if the team have an off day.
  5. Thanks for your view. There seems to be a growing history of problems between a few from both clubs. We had a couple of fns hit with a scoffold pole at yuor place and there was said to be trouble in the city before and after the game. Not a normal practice when most teams come.Without a doubt Cardiff Millwall to a degree (it has been stamped upon) Leeds and Pompey have al arge crew who are thick enough to want trouble.Sometimes these people pick on the wrong ones and get off worse.I myself have been to many games and also not been involved apart from in the 70's in Bristol when as young lads were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
  6. Thanks Scummer didnt pick that.
  7. I must say it was a clear cut pen for us. Apart from that if we had the rub and not got a decision like Perrys handball Id be well upset today. Im a great supporter of Kelvin but he called for the ball and then didnt come , which caused the confusion.
  8. Sorry still dont get it,I havent read the whoe thread though
  9. Um why have you put only 11 games prior to LCs appointment and 12 games afer.Surely he had more games than that last season as i thought NP was in charge for 13-14 games
  10. You didnt really believe the Port Salut was really going to happen did you Mack??? They are going to turn the stadium around alright, not move the stands or anything just make the pitch 100 yards wide and 50 yards long. You gimps will think it is a new groud as something looks a bit different but cant place what
  11. When have I said they haven't?Read my posts post matches and you will see i think the fans have been great and supportive under intense pressure.A large portion have been patient and understanding what the club needed to do.Yes it would have been better to have all the stars in the team but finances dictated they couldnt. It seems things have stabilised a bit or people have pointed out to the bank that if the dont ease their restrictions we will go down or into administration and they will lose a large amount of money.Sense on ALL sides seem to have prevailed
  12. BS I normally concur with your view but i cant with DMG. Did you notice the runs he made when not on the ball? How he ran across their drefence to drwa defenders with him to make space for Saga and JE. A lot of these things go unnoticed, but add to our effectiveness.Take the blinkers off and you will see he will indeed become a very good player. He also had the balls to take the pen in front of a lot of fans who have been giving him stick. Our experienced players went into hiding when the pen was awarded.
  13. If you are alluding to RL's mistake of keeping Jan too long Im with you on that.To be fair just before the Forest game I think we were 7 points clear?? (it may have been 4 points and we would have been 7 points)and if we had won we would have been in clover. So at that stage the experiment was still on track. The Doncaster game was indeed the watershed. The board whether by the fans reaction or the alarm bells ringing (or both)they acted. I myself was very unimpressed with the new man, but as soon as I heard from my friends at the club what was happening i realised that we should give him a little time.I asked for fans to give at least 5 games and in the main i think the fans on here have been intelligent enough to have accepted that we had little choice and so get behind him.
  14. I was giving out this message a few weeks back. There is a togetherness.
  15. Well if you take away 15k minimum of wages outof our weekly losses add on the loan fees which would be well above the ones we paid out and that would show Barclays that we were grasping the nettle. If we carried on regardless paying the wages without trying to cut them then the bank would not view that with any sympathy. We dont know the position of the club financially, but losing over a 100k a week needs to be acted on. Add the luck that we drew MU in the cup and you can see why the finances have eased ever so slightly. So far the rigourous cutting of the wage bill has saved us 10 points. Yes we may well have got more with the better players, but we dont know as it is all opinion and not exact science.
  16. It is fairly pointless trying to reason with people if they dont understand the basics of budgeting. We had to show the banks we were reacting to the situation. We may have had costs ourselves but we offloaded a lot of high paid players as well as getting higher loan fees than we paid out if any. Saga would not be here if we could have sold him, we dont know who we would have got in his place of course, who may have been better or worse. The point is that Wotte has acted and used his time sitting in the background to see what wew needed.Size was the first and then getting the older players into a more direct style
  17. I arrived quite late for the game and was in the St Marys street area. There was a large group of fans without colours being escorted by the police through the market to the stadium. They were looking for trouble if not already caused it. Some little Cardiff oiks were being turned away before the bridge near Golden grove
  18. As the opposition are better than PNE then I think it was a better result than last week. Both were great but IMO the motm today was the fans.Whoever starts the Red and White chant needs praise, the whole ground joins into that song. The team can feel the fans behind them and they draw strength from that. On the pitch i think there was no player who deserves more praise. The team are now playing as a team and a unit. I would say that DMG showed real steel and character taking the penalty. It seemed to me nobody wanted to take it and AS passed him the ball to take it.
  19. It wasnt Woggy it was who you say it was.
  20. You'd be a joy for Parkinson to interview
  21. Thats why i dont comment on the performances away.I will talk about goals if I have seen them on tv but I do like to read fans assessments who have been to those games.I do read some of the reports more avidly than others though.I think some have a record of being even handed and fair in their judgement and so take more of what they have to say than others who just put 'we were rubbish' and not give any insight into why.
  22. i alos cited Navyred s leaving here as a disappointment.if anyone knows him perhaps it could be relayed to him that he should come back on here. The criticism of the young lads has decreased and so he might be able to stomach reading it.I also have felt rage at the way the young players have been dismissed by some but argued why they are wrong to do so, surely that is the best way.
  23. That is true as a lot of us have different opinions of certain players. In the main though by watching the performance you do get a feel how the team is progressing or degressing.
  24. Not attending does not stop you having the right to comment, I wholeheartedly agree with that.Alos people living away or cant afford to attend also, but it is impossible to really see how the team are playing unless you have been there. You only have to watch Motd and them saying what a great game ande you think sometimes where did they get that from.
  25. I cant recall you coming on here during the Wilde bunch days saying any of that Alpine. The 'bleeding obvious' that the Wilde bunch fired more duds than a eunach seemed to evade you as well.
