Daren i think if he did peraps that would help us all. From his standpoint he no doubt is hurting and still very much trying to defend himself and has little time to apologise.Im sure he feels he doesnt need to as he believes that he did no wrong but has been let down.I myself believe its a bit of both, he made some terrible errors but was not the only one responsible for our relegation(lets not go through the whys and why nots again) Ump is correct when he says that relegation is the reason for our position now, but there were many mistakes by all involved from then until now, and every person who followed should have reacted to the situation they faced at the time.Patently the clubs finances got worse under the Wilde bunch and LC as the right measures were not taken to stop all the excesses immediately. It is history and the sooner we get on again the better. I will be a saints fan to the monet they push me into the incinerator, whatever league we are in. Sorry but you are stuck with me.
-
He wanted 65p a share when LC had just paid the same elsewhere. If your neighbour sells their house for 100k would you not want the same for your house? The price dropped dramatically and so would have the asking price. I want the best for our club, watching us going into administration or relegation before acting is not my idea of buying us in the best interest. Had we been bought out only 3-4weks ago the team may have been strengthened enough for us to be clear by now.

Nothing wrong with Testwood I have some saints supporting mates who went there in the 70's + 80's. All as mad as a bag of frogs though. Great days and memories going to Dell and away matches with them though and playing the game with them.

Wes if you are happy to march behind people who waited for us to be in this position then Im worried. RL was a hard nosed businessman who lloked at the balance sheet first. They are basically carper baggers and only want to buy when we are lying in the road waiting for the vultures to pick us to the bone. Fans seem happy that we have 15+ plus people interested in us, i doubt the will be there next week and then when we have a week or so left and there are only 2 thats when the bowels will start to move, and there are only hours to save us.
-
Letys hope we have a new regime who will underwrite us to the tune of 10m like Leicester have been fortunate to have done.
-
That is why I dont wish for any of the people who had been interested in us pre administration. They have sat back and waited for us to basically get relegated before really showing interest.Does it not concern people thay may only be in it for themselves yet again? As a fan and if I was worht multi millions I odnt know that i oculd have waited until the club had gone omnto life support before acting. That is one thing that i lkie about LC he at least shows a true passion like a normal fan.

Lol, Ginge that is the best advert i can get, as if my ideas are different to yours it reinforces my conviction Im right. ps i lived in Totton when I first got married and went to Houndsdown school. No doubt you were from the Testwood school of breeding
-
I told you that you weren't good at picking your mates BTF
-
No problem, at least you know what to expect.
-
but it was going to be easy to get investment as soon as we went into administration.!!!! Lol There are people around and they have been looking for sometime, I know 100% for a fact RL was showing poeople around weeks and weeks ago. It is easy to express interest but when the fo sale tag goes up then it sorts the men from the boys. Im 85% sure we will get bought but it will be at the last moment Im sure.
-
Get your crash helmet ready I can hear incoming. You have posted against the 'in crowd' and will get a beating. Im with you to a degree, but LC is not all bad, he did what he did (not well IMO) nbut from a fans point not as a hard nosed businessman.

Britain has gone to the dogs look how long it took Alpine to be deported...only kidding Alps..but it did take ages Lol
-
Lol again good follow up
-
Very Lol You cant win anything with youngsters got to have a team full of 30+year old players i keep getting told by the judges on here.
-
Jonah, I try my best not to be really insulting to Um as like most on here is hurting like mad. Therefore i wll not call him that as i know he is not dumb, shame at times he was not a little mute though. I am surprised at Leicester's lower crowds, they would really be in the financial mire if it wasnt for MM

A.) Yes if the results he achieved were the same as hisstrike rate lasty season.Forget not LC had taken a knife to the squad like we had to he would be working with less quality. b) Yes if we played like we did against burnley home, Coventry home, Cardiff ,Hull away, but no if we played like we did against BC and SU home. c)Yes if we were doing so badly (I dont believe you go to watch the directors box) no if we were doing well d) LC not sure , LM most definately(that 1 you will never convince me otherwise)

The daftest, most self-centred and most myopic rescue proposal yet..

A lot of these things have been bequeathed to the city. It makes it difficult for the council to sell them off.I personally would love them to sell some of these thigs as they are not on show and deteriorating and will be lost long term. -
Is this a joke thread? We as fans have complained about previous regimes keep changing the manager and it seems every 6 months we have the wish to change again!! It is so ironic. In the last 3 seaons we have wanted Every manager gone even though we had the posts saying, we must give a new man a chance.Patently we dont mean it. Paul Ince by the way
-
Lol , I have no illusion that was not the case, especially with Jan.
-
At times you really could be called Smarm Pahars because you cannot help yourself. I have tried to be decent and reasonable and then you put up such comments. Yes NC did say that attendances had declined under Crouch and that was wrong but had the boot been on the other foot you would have rightly held up the SU game as a freak. It was a freak attendance and even if we were in the PL that attendance would not be attained. To try and deride my post is below the belt, as it was right to point it out. When I have put up stats regarding NP's tenure i have never put in the Plymouth home game as it was not fair as whilst he was manager he probablty did not have any input, apart from inspirational pre match talk. Ialso refrained from putting in FA cup defeats into stats regarding LC's first choice of replacements as again it was not fair to have one off games added.
-
Even you will concede that by having the SU game on the stats it would skew the figure. Probably not enough to make a mssive difference but perhaps by 2k a game. Again you dont get it, I saisd we played more attractive football under Jan , not effective but more attractive, dont twist the wording.
-
the first bit is correct, but you react to situation you face in business. It was paramount after the relgation had happened you make plans to suit the budget. It is clear to me that the Wilde bunch spun the wheel hoping for black but the ball drooped in the red. What followed was a juggernaught out of control. Add to the fact the bank moved the goalposts and then we were in the mire.Had the bank kept to its 5m overdraft as it had asked we would have been ok, at least until the end of the season. if anybody on here had a mortgage and they asked for a third of the money back immediately not many would be able to stump up either
-
Not at nil , there are loan fees and appearance fees add to that the wages they would be on as they were associated to these big clubs.Yes they might subsidise them a little or as much as half but still it is major money. If it was so easy why dont all clubs loan from them? It is due to the fact that MM has bankrolled the club. The credit to NP is that he has targetted those players who seem to have done well.I dont know how many games they have played, but they had a decent squad when they went dowmn let alone the extra signings.
-
Um if you took out the SU game or then worked out the average what would it be then? I think it is fair to judge the SU game as a freak much like this seasons Man u game.
-
Man u and Arsenal do not need to loan out players on the cheap. They have many clubs who want to snap them up and so whilst i understand your point about Pekhart (who was returned very quickly) it is chalk and cheese.Mandaric has bankrolled the club and they have the advantage of playing some super young loans from top teams, who would almost certainly get into our starting line up. I was not saying Jan was any good and am disappointed that you think i was , but the actual football and passing game was better under him until the last third. That is an observation as i like to watch proper football, with players passing and admire it when it is done properly. Sacking the manager when you have made the mistake in time is another thing you have to be good at. Run the clock back to the 70's and were Leeds correct to sack Clough after 40 odd days, should our board have got rid of LM when he had an appalling record that got us relegated and the following season we were not much better. Can you imagine how he would have fared on here in the way he treated Terry Paine who were that generations MLT? Lowe is gone and I look forward to the day when he is not the focus of ths foums debate.it will take sometime for that to happen but he and hopefully people like Askham will be gone too and then we will be able to focus on football.By then the spectre of NP's progress to the PL and England management and you and others will be able to tell me how great he is. perhaps he will be our Clough, that Leeds missed out on.
