you are probably right but when the new board took over they were faced with the loss making situation , surely it was sense to reason that why pay out money we didnt have when we had a player who would play.
-
I think the official line is that he is on gardening leave. Im trying to find out why. Grainger will take over I suspect. That is what was to happen if Webster had gone in the summer. As for asking for compensation I was not surprised. If Ipswich wanted him badly they would surely have paid a bit for him, would we expect a player to go for nothing if he was wanted and under contract? I think also Webster had a spat with Magilton when he came to SMS and that was to do with the way it was handled.

the LibLab pact has raised its head again LOL

Liberals not able to take a joke, surely not

to freeze council tax is flawed, why is that? We as a nation when things have settled need a politician strong enough to grasp the nettle and get the country out of relying on credit. We need tight control on personal lending and get people to act responsibly with their spending.
-
I cant recall anybody knicking any of the Liberals ideas, as I dont see many people wearing cycle clips by law or that children should be whispered to and never a loud voice be heard.
-
Well, if you're happy to pay the same as you did when we were in the Premiership to watch youngsters that you could have seen for free last season, then fair enough. [end quote] So when Channon or MLT or all the other youngsters came through you said the same. Come on Wes surely you appreciate the quality of their football, it is just the failure to shoot is the problem. This team should have had another 10 points if they had been clinical and so with a bit of time we will get there. I didnt think the cost of going to games was the same as when we were in the PL. It is a lot cheaper for me nowadays.

RESCUE you are having a laugh.LS posted an email from MW to somebody and in it it mentioned the excesses that took place under him. Forget not his denial that we had sold up the Walcot deal etc earlier. He is not without blame.
-
well if he has supported the club for 57 years he has seen a lot worse than has been served up this season.

Im not sure of the timescale but I thought the deal for Rasiak was finalised after RL left.

Behave Wes, its good to have new members and so keep your charm offensive back for a while. I of course accept his views and am glad to have another sensible poster on the site.

you are kidding ,shes lovely and a shame that she is not available -
Yes, as I suspect a large percentage of the left dont want to give up such things either. Now the extreme Tory right may have a bigger percentage, Ill give you that.

they can do nothng as they are not the gov. They can make suggestions that the gov might knick. Why has the government failed to tax the non-doms there is massive revenue there for picking. These are fat cats who make massive money from the City and dont pay into our system.I am very pro people making money but I detest ppeople like Sir Phillip Green making millions and then not paying taxes into our economy. It should be looked at, the Americans have laws to stop this happening and I read that the IRS were trying to make the Swiss banks give them details of accounts of the main fund manager of UBS, the Swiss of course are hiding behind their privacy laws.

Ron im with you about Dyer I also rated him and think the injury he had at Leicester last season has taken his spark and a bit of pace
-
thanks Steve I was away and so missed that. Morgan has elbowed others in the past, I think it was when they were in the PL.
-
I agree he has been poor. The problem the Tories and others face is that they can't look as though they are jumping on our grave.Brown and co have upped their game since they took back Mandelson who knows how to manipulate and duck and dive.As the nation sees that what they have done is waste and spent and the finances dont improve they will turn on him again.
-
but I thought they were going to to a supa dupa new stadium, it's getting very confusing.

A timewaster.....only kidding

Ron I was behind the goal and from where was I thought DMG did well to get his head to it.As for passing it to AL it would have meant stopping to look back where he was and Robrtson was the most likely option. Still it was a good chance and he did make a mess of it. I still am one of the fools who enjoy watching the team develop and yes some will go but I feel an attachment to those young players who IMO are keen to do well for us .

The fans have let the board be divisive to us. I dont know how the Charlton or Watford fans view their own boards but i suspect they are a little less vitriolic, but who knows we are talking footy fans. SJ is not my idea of an ugly centre forward, I would want one in the image of Iwelumo or the like a brute with a bit of pace and movement. As for the fans not coming , there are lots of reasons, the board being 1 but the main is that we are not winning or in the PL. Get a glamour tie in the FA cup and then you will see the fans turn up.RL still there wont stop them coming. We have to be realisitic the majority are not coming as they have been spoilt and want to watch the top teams, not us.

because you said that the tories were the ones that disliked people of colour and it was to underline that it is not the cae
-
I dont believe we are a rascist country either. I think that anyone born in the country of any colour or creed is British and am proud of any person representing our country. The potential rise in the BNp is down to peoples frustration that they feel marginalised where our ways are seen as offensive and we have to let what we see as alienways being forced upon us. For christmas carols and cards being banned or poppies not allowed to be worn as they might offend seems to make people fear our culture being erased.

I dislike the Liberals more than the Labour as at least the Labour lot have an opinion.
