I think when AP says that he wants to shift a few out, I suspect that he has him in mind.

It seems to me at leats the AP has begun to do what we have been screaming out for for a long time, and that is identify where we are weak and bring in a signing to turn it into our strengths. Also he has introduced other options to allow us to keep teams guessing. 'Will they play 4-3-2-1? If so, how do we counter that? and if they go 4-5-1? 4-4-1-1?' Opposing managers will need an American Footbal playbook for defence. I have liked our wing play of late as well, and can see Connolly coming on as the impact player. I think old Pards is spot on so far in his decision, especially his eye for a player. And my final word on Connelly? He must have wobbly eyes to look at one point and kick it in a completly different direction. I juyst hope he doesn't suffer from the 'debut disease' that we have where ALL our new signings score on their debut, and score well, then go off the boil.

Got to be honest, I'm over the moon Brian. It makes a change to from tying to be positive, to actually believing that we can win.

But considering that we are in a league with a lower talent threshold required than last year, isn't it a bit difficult to say that they were crap last year so this year they wont cut the mustard? Surley they would have to advance further to be CC quality than L1 quality? And how can you throw the 'Can't Use the youngsters' card at AP as he has shown that he is bringing in players to fill the gaps, including some older heads? Comparing apples and bananas, is my feeling.

Mum, nan and aunt knitted me a saints scarf when I was 7, and they got the dimensions wrong and it was longer than Doctor Who's. It then occured to both of us that, even though we know what each other does, we are hopeless when it comes to doing the others job, we are just hopeless. So i bid him adeiu and hung up before we had a Brokeback Mountain moment. Moral of the story? Only thing I would change would be Gillet ahead of James. But generally a good squad I think and, dare I say it, once they gel we should start doing better. Maybe AP needs to take them paintballing or mug painting
