Apart from Clyne I don't really rate any full backs in the prem this year. The usual suspects (Zabaleta, Colman, etc) just haven't performed.

Different players, Clyne in defensive 1v1's is as good as they come but wasn't very strong in the air and couldn't cross for toffee! Cedric is a great crosser of the ball and his passing is better than Clyne as well but he's nowhere near as good defensively. That may improve as time goes by but until then we may see him have better games at wing back then full back.

I quite like Gary Rowett, shame he's not at a better club than Birmingham where his obviously working under a quite few restrictions.

I'm the same! Would be so jealous if they won it and would constantly wonder what if! I said the same to my chelsea fan brother in law the other day, it's been almost a perfect storm in terms of others not being in their usual places and Vardy and Mahrez having the season of their lives!

I do agree about the small margins, the players appear to be very happy to have him back which is more of a reflection on Fraser and his record last year than Stek. I guess my main point is our clean sheets last season and now this having coincided heavenly with us getting back to conceding very little shots on target. Thus giving us not great idea how good Fraser really is.

Keepers are only as good as what's going on in front of them and our back 5/6 have finally decided to get their act together! Ones things for sure though, Fraser will be delighted he's come back in to the side now rather than 2 months ago!

It will be a while until we spend £20mill+ on a player but we'll certainly be selling a few in the near future. Everyone who thinks we should of gone like for like once Morgan, Lallana and Shaw etc had gone can you name me one £25million + player that would of come to us instead of a champion league/champions league chasing club?!

Over the course of 90 mins and even a season Ryan is the better LB imo. His positioning and passing is brilliant. The reason Luke gets raved about is 3/4 per game he goes on runs and looks unstoppable, the main problem though is they nearly always come to nothing! This will probably change as he gets more experienced but right now I'd take Ryan over him all day long.

I partly agree with this, his does tend to put too much into his free kicks when his shooting but his corners and crosses are some of the best I've seen and we really notice that when his not on the pitch.

My point is that Man City managed to that just before the gate was bolted shut! It would now be impossible for that to happen again with incurring fines and deductions etc. therefore it's almost become pointless for a sugar daddy to buy a club and pump in billions.

I read the other day that City have spent close to £1 billion getting to where they are now, that's ludicrous and the exact reason FFP was bought in. Same with Chelsea, if Roman suddenly ended up arrested with his assets frozen (not out of the quart tin with the Russians) Chelsea would be screwed! I'm happy with the way we run our club, it's the most likely way to be around in 50 years time.

Everton are one of those sides that when it clicks they've got the players to beat anyone. We just didn't look as defensively compact today which is a worry as that been our strength for a while. Oh well, on to the next one! Coyr

Gonna be difficult for some established players to even make the bench at this rate. Competition for places really hotting up, what does this mean for Harrison Reed though? Loan?

Let's not blame Davis for the fact that we haven't/can't find better than him. We tried with Gaston and that was an epic fail, we could play Juanmi at number 10 and he'll get us 5 goals but the flip side being Davis could well save us 5 goals a season with his defensive work. I'm in the camp that doesn't actually notice many good things he does in a game but bloody hell you really notice the difference when he's not there!! We'd all like an Oscar or Fabragas at no. 10 but they cost £30m+ and we simply can't afford one of those so we get on with what we have and support whoever's doing it.

Well I was one of the dicks that left as the added time board went up! I usually stay to clap the players off then have a leisurely stroll to the train station but as there were no trains, my van was parked 2 miles from the ground, I live 2 hours away and had to be up at 5.30am, leaving 3 minutes early probably meant I was in bed at 12 rather than 12.30, is that ok with you?!

From what I saw on Thursday night he looks better/more composed going forward and is a better passer of the ball. What Clyne did better than most full backs was his 1v1 defensive work but it was difficult to judge Cedric on Thursday as he had so little to do. Looks very positive though so far.

Just seen on Twitter that Steven Davis signed for us 3 years ago today. Seem to remember a legal dispute involved in that transfer as well? We believed we could sign him for free but ended up having to pay Rangers a fee to avoid legal action?

Remember our reaction after Adkins got the boot?! It might very well be a master stroke that kicks Leicester onto mid table contenders rather than relegation battlers. Only time will tell I suppose!

The Everton game was a big one for me. We were on the back of horrible run and had injuries and suspensions galore but RK surprised us all with the 3-5-2 that worked an obsolute treat. It also highlighted for me the difference beteeen RK and MoPo, last season we would played our usual game with a 4-2-3-1 and probably lost!
