He was the first to slag off Wilde, he was the first to slag off Dan Williams so he has a good track record MP. On this case he was repeating a quote from Tony Lynam which has some relevance to the reported issues yesterday.

One of the problems with this, like other rumours, is that we do not know the full facts! We, like the media, are assuming that it is all to do with the 10 points deduction and the new owners signing away a right to appeal. This just does not fit. It is to simplistic and full of legal holes. What if it is all to do with the fact that the new owners are asking for confirmation that the golden share will be transfered to the new company but the football league not prepared to give that undertaking until the club is out of administration (puting aside the argument of whether it is the club or just SLH in Admin). A catch 22 but something that can be resolved following the FL emergency meeting on Monday. Tony Lynam seems to think the remaining issues can be overcome. It has to be something simpler than the signing away the right of appeal. Malwhinney has already gone on record on that point. Unless of course there was a time limit for the appeal which has passed or a deadline for coming out of Administration passed requiring a special meeting by the FL to sanction "readmittance" Plenty of speculation but no real knowledge of the facts! We need to wait and see what develops next week.

The Echo do not know the identity of the potential new owner. They have been given rumours but no evidence. Here is one for you whilst we are in fantasy land - Dainty Dave

Of course if they are unable to complete by Friday there are a few options. 1. They withdraw - unlikely at this late stage but possible 2. They pay the wages at next payday as a further non refundable deposit to maintain exclusivity - If the Administrators are happy with their progress and explanation this is a possibility, may even be a probability but I have no inside track. 3. The Administrator removes their exclusivity and others, new and old come back to the table and fight it out with Pinnacle. Of couse we all hope they complete on or before Friday but whilst 2 would be palatable 1 and 3 would not be popular with anyone. Let us see what unfolds in the next 48 hours.

I have heard nothing to suggest the backer has pulled out yet.

As far as I am aware LeTiss lives near West End. I actually know which road he lives but will not put it up here. Doggface has already confirmed this. Perhaps Ringwood is his second home.

When all the information has been checked (final due diligence) all will be put to the Principal by Pinnacle for a final decision whether to proceed or not with the purchase.

The official 'how long can it take to say nothing' thread

What a barmy thread. As Glenda Jackson once said proving the nonsence of this thread I used to believe that anything was better than nothing. Now I know that sometimes nothing is better. -

I thought of saying nothing because I know nothing but although nothing is boring I have decided to say nothing. Nothing wrong with that. -
Cannot see it being more than asking questions Phil, they know nothing. All guess work. Could be dangerous running blind as I am sure they are.

I reckon it is "investigative" journalism in the hope someone knows something the Echo cannot find out ie the money man. The fact that no one knows (or at least only a very limited number within the closed circle) is worrying many including our local rag. If you want to know you go fishing. Drop a bit of bait and wait to get something on a hook. Why is someone close to Mike Osman starting such a post. Why are the media fishing by putting up stories of Swiss alternatives? Because they do not know and worry why someone of the wealth suggested is not using Seymour Pierce's experience or someone similar? It is a complaint leveled against another player in this saga! Let us hope the worries become unfounded and our club is saved by Pinnacle and their money man.

You have a problem with that?

Here is what I was told this morning The fans just need to have a bit more patience. Not sure where some of these rumours are coming from (such as 'deal on verge of collapse' and 'Crouch to get seat on board') but anything that is not attributed directly to either Tony Lynam or Mark Fry, or officially released via the OS, is likely to be mischief-making speculation. How true.

If we have an individual as owner as seems to be the case then the board will be advisary and execute the wishes of the owner.

At the risk of bumping this thread Thanks

Thanks Neil (NSS). Your post and the follow up from Tony Lynam should settle a few nerves. For those who may mistrust newer posters, Neil is a good friend of mine and is the fund raising face behind Smile4Rich. Here is a link showing they have a Dinner Gala tonight and Pinnacle sponsor S4R. In the photo are 3 who post on here (not me by the way) but I will not embarrass them by names. http://www.smile4rich.co.uk/fundraising/event-calendar When you visit the link why not read what they are about and make a donation

Apart from a phone call I mentioned on here a while back I have not heard anything more on the subject and my contacts still assure me matters are progressing in the right direction. IF the rumour is coming out of the city I find it strange as no one seems to know who the money man is. There has been speculation on and off the site but I can confirm that Sky have no idea who it is. I have also spoken to a Chairman of a plc with strong connections to the city and he does not know. Bearing in mind he was with LeTissier a week or so ago would suggest to me LeTiss does not know the identity either. I am not too worried by this rumour. Pinnacle were given 21 days to complete. Let's leave them to it and not worry about what we do not know. That is my take on it all.

That was not what I meant WSS. I seemed to have posted something that most did not like or support and I accept that and apologise if I upset anyone. Whatever has gone on before is history now. Whatever I say now on the subject will likely only did a bigger hole for myself so I felt it better to just leave the subject alone. I hope you and others can accept that.

I was told a while back they were up to date but I have since been told we do owe them some money. Not massive but not insignificant either.

Drew is on holiday at present and his family are unaware of any developments. He was told prior to the Pinnacle exclusivity that he might have to be sold to get money into the club but that might have changed now Pinnacle are progressing the purchase of the club.

I am not going to comment further on the subject Duncan. I think it is best that way.
