Looks like Russian Roulette and brinkmanship at play. Like you, I hope the fragile position is not shattered by this revelation (if Radio Solents attributation to the Administrator is correct)
-
Most of the media reports have been wide of the mark so far. I have a feeling this one might be the exception to the norm. Today could be an interesting day. Let's hope it does not all end in tears and the end of SFC. If he announces a preferred bidder today don't forget that will only trigger a further period of due diligence. As Dubai Phil has already said on another thread, the Administrator will not give a guarantee that the information he gave in the due diligence documents are correct. However it would be unusual for it to be wide of the mark.

As others have already mentioned, £20 per ticket is a bit steep and likely to put many off. Why have we not been told who, apart from Le Tissier, is playing? Needs a wow factor and so far, apart from Matt, it lacks any pull. My understanding is that ticket sales are yet to reach anywhere near 1000! I have mine but I fear the game will be cancelled due to lack of support.

I take it you know LM personally? Not a criticism, just an enquiry

Pinnacle Led Bid Latest- Premiership in Five Years
Weston Saint replied to John B's topic in The Saints
Exactly how the people with the bid on the table and their advisors work. They have not said who they are, they have not said what their bid is, they have not unveiled their plans. They are going about it in a professional manner. -

You are wrong. He posted the details thinking the address belonged to Pinnacle. When he realised it was Spence's home address he took it off the forum. But we all have opinions Tris, I just think yours is wrong on this occassion. -
I have no idea. Just a few people have said we are almost gone but would not go into detail. Of course if the bid stands up and no one else comes in then I assume the Administrator will have to accept so from that point of view it is a chink of light. However like every bid, until it is signed and the money is handed over, nothing is certain
-
Not Pinnacle. As far as I know they have yet to put in a written bid.
-
There was a hick up but I am told it is back on track. Only time will tell if it is successful. If there are other interested paties out there please get your bids in. We are almost at total closure and futher delay could prove fatal.

Pinnacle Led Bid Latest- Premiership in Five Years

Agree Steve. What is more Fry holds Counsels opinion on the chances of a legal challenge. I am sure he would have shown it to any interested party before they considered a bid. -
I have not had time to post since Thursday evening, only having the odd chance to read the forum until now. Let me be clear, the person I had dinner with on Tuesday was not Marc Jackson although I did have a drink with him on Thursday evening with many others who attended the forum match. Marc Jackson is not financially involved in the only bid on the table at present and he is not the spokesman for the person/s who have tendered the bid. He appears to have held his own counsel by not responding to any allegations. The person who is the spokesman has yet to make any comment and that will stand. At present the only written bid offer and the business plan for the same has not been released by this team. As far as I can see they are continuing to conduct this matter in a professional and businesslike manner. This statement is not made on behalf of the above people but my attempt to clarify the situation. The Guernsey people came in a blaze of publicity. The Pinnacle connected possible bid has been played out in the media and the business plans happily released before a bid has even been put together. Why? I cannot answer that but it does look very strange. Who released Marc Jacksons name to the press? What was the motive? What did they expect to achieve? Draw your own conclusions as I do not have the answer At the end of the day I just want to be able to go and support Saints in Div 1 next season. I hope the backers of the bid with Mark Fry are capable of doing that just. I have no problem with others putting in a bid. I do have problem with them playing it out in the media before they have put their money where their mouth is! Was that not one of the criticisms levelled against Marc Jackson in the past? I am told by my contact that the bid is with Mark Fry in writing and backed by the proof of funds. That is the current position as at today. I still do not know the name of the investor/s. My contact has honoured my request not to identify the same so no questions please.

I think Nickh is the typical Saints Manager. 3-1 up and loses 4-3 to a last minute goal. Dubia Phil must be the first Saints Manager to win his first game and then retire. Great fun and well done to all those who took part. Took our minds off the desperate plight SFC faces in the next few days. -
Yes he was there. I sat with him and St David for a while before I went down to chat with Dubia Phil. We went for a drink with them after and met up with SaintLee. Nickh was there so was Steve Grant and a few others following the forum match. Told them about this thread being started. Plenty laughter. Doubt they would be happy with some of the comments made! Good to meet you at the game Baj.

Too old but I might go and try to view the second half. -
See, you should listen to me.

Don't panic. I know who is dealing with this. I took him out to dinner on Tuesday. Marc Jackson was no where in sight. That is all I am prepared to say.

I have never seen so much misinformation on one post. Please ignore the 606 poster, he knows nothing. Be patient please. Things are being worked through. -
Sorry Charlie, I am not the Administrator. He is the only one who can answer that.
-
The only one who will make an announcement as to when an anouncement is to be made is the Administrator and no one in the media is saying he has made such announcement. It may be correct but how many times have we been told that before about Saints matters.

Thought I would pop back on this thread for one post in view of all that has been posted since my last. Lowe is in no way connected to the written bid filed with the Administrators last Friday. Souness is in no way connected to the written bid files with the Administrators last Friday There is no Guernsey or Jersey connection to the written bid filed with the Administrators last Friday. None of the former board members, going back as far as you want in history, are connected to the written bid filed with the Administrators last Friday. I hope this helps. -
HMRC is not a problem at present.
