  1. How do you know we did not know we were going into Administration?
  2. Trousers...exploded...when? Trousers get on the internet and investigate.....Oh!
  3. The person I put the question to above.
  4. a ? at the end usually denotes a question. He has emailed me. He does't know or cannot/will not say. Edit. Sorry, my answer looks sarcastic. I apologize, that is not my usual style
  5. Hi Neil. It appears Pinnacle do not have an interested party anymore?
  6. And if you are wrong?
  7. My opinion If you have the right skills you can find investors. Those investors, if interested, can prove funds and go through the early due diligence. If you have the right skills you can get them to the negotiation table with the Administrator and with the right advice reach a point where the investors make an indicative written bid for all or parts of the company. If the Administrator finds the indicative bid is the best deal for the creditors or there is no other indicative bid likely he can then give them preferred bidding status and a period for completeion for due diligence. During that time no other bid can be considered. The Administrator will not be able to give a guarantee that the information he provided fo the initial due diligence will stand up. It is for the indicative bidder to then carry out fairly expensive and extensive due diligence. When that is completed a formal bid is made and completion takes place. Anywhere along the way the "bidder" may withdraw. You can get good money men to the table but lots of things can happen on the way to completion. No one has got to the preferred bidder status yet. One has put in an indicative bid and negotiations seem to be continuing. I am not told the bid has been withdrawn yet or anyone else is at the table. Anyone want to correct my assumptions? All this rumour of a press conference is just that, rumour. The Administrator will report when he is ready. Let us hope it is not to tell everyone that the football club has been liquidated and no more.
  8. No, would not recognise it if it bumped into me and apologised
  9. You are assuming Pinnacle and MLT are involved John. I see no evidence they have done anything more than drop hints through the media and on here. Notice how quiet they have all gone today?
  10. They and their supporters seem to have gone remarkably quiet! Perhaps they do not see Wednesday and the new Friday.
  11. Looks like Russian Roulette and brinkmanship at play. Like you, I hope the fragile position is not shattered by this revelation (if Radio Solents attributation to the Administrator is correct)
  12. Most of the media reports have been wide of the mark so far. I have a feeling this one might be the exception to the norm. Today could be an interesting day. Let's hope it does not all end in tears and the end of SFC. If he announces a preferred bidder today don't forget that will only trigger a further period of due diligence. As Dubai Phil has already said on another thread, the Administrator will not give a guarantee that the information he gave in the due diligence documents are correct. However it would be unusual for it to be wide of the mark.
  13. As others have already mentioned, £20 per ticket is a bit steep and likely to put many off. Why have we not been told who, apart from Le Tissier, is playing? Needs a wow factor and so far, apart from Matt, it lacks any pull. My understanding is that ticket sales are yet to reach anywhere near 1000! I have mine but I fear the game will be cancelled due to lack of support.
  14. I take it you know LM personally? Not a criticism, just an enquiry
  15. Exactly how the people with the bid on the table and their advisors work. They have not said who they are, they have not said what their bid is, they have not unveiled their plans. They are going about it in a professional manner.
  16. How wrong you are. I hope you will apologise for that comment.
  17. You are wrong. He posted the details thinking the address belonged to Pinnacle. When he realised it was Spence's home address he took it off the forum. But we all have opinions Tris, I just think yours is wrong on this occassion.
  18. I have no idea. Just a few people have said we are almost gone but would not go into detail. Of course if the bid stands up and no one else comes in then I assume the Administrator will have to accept so from that point of view it is a chink of light. However like every bid, until it is signed and the money is handed over, nothing is certain
  19. Not Pinnacle. As far as I know they have yet to put in a written bid.
  20. There was a hick up but I am told it is back on track. Only time will tell if it is successful. If there are other interested paties out there please get your bids in. We are almost at total closure and futher delay could prove fatal.
  21. Agree Steve. What is more Fry holds Counsels opinion on the chances of a legal challenge. I am sure he would have shown it to any interested party before they considered a bid.
  22. I have not had time to post since Thursday evening, only having the odd chance to read the forum until now. Let me be clear, the person I had dinner with on Tuesday was not Marc Jackson although I did have a drink with him on Thursday evening with many others who attended the forum match. Marc Jackson is not financially involved in the only bid on the table at present and he is not the spokesman for the person/s who have tendered the bid. He appears to have held his own counsel by not responding to any allegations. The person who is the spokesman has yet to make any comment and that will stand. At present the only written bid offer and the business plan for the same has not been released by this team. As far as I can see they are continuing to conduct this matter in a professional and businesslike manner. This statement is not made on behalf of the above people but my attempt to clarify the situation. The Guernsey people came in a blaze of publicity. The Pinnacle connected possible bid has been played out in the media and the business plans happily released before a bid has even been put together. Why? I cannot answer that but it does look very strange. Who released Marc Jacksons name to the press? What was the motive? What did they expect to achieve? Draw your own conclusions as I do not have the answer At the end of the day I just want to be able to go and support Saints in Div 1 next season. I hope the backers of the bid with Mark Fry are capable of doing that just. I have no problem with others putting in a bid. I do have problem with them playing it out in the media before they have put their money where their mouth is! Was that not one of the criticisms levelled against Marc Jackson in the past? I am told by my contact that the bid is with Mark Fry in writing and backed by the proof of funds. That is the current position as at today. I still do not know the name of the investor/s. My contact has honoured my request not to identify the same so no questions please.
  23. Good charity Steve. Get's my approval.
