What as the score of Bristol v Ajax, anyone know?

First half was good, and I thought we were unlucky to concede the penalty, however they were in the box too often for comfort and 'falling' too easily. Eventually the ref fell for it. In truth in the first half Saints were well organised and defended doggedly, with some discipline. Looked dangerous in attack on the break too. Our goal was deserved. In the second half too many substitutions spoiled our rhythm, and Ajax calmly took control, playing some slick, effortless football.. The last twenty minutes were painful. Saints more or less gave up, The old lack of stamina again. Ajax looked casually confident and could easily have scored twice as many but for some great saves by Kelvin. AP and ML certainly know what has to be done. I hope we get Leroy Lita. Rasiak and Saga looked like they didn't want to be on the pitch. (ML by the way looked like he was enjoying himself.)

It is at least a more striking colour scheme than the flinty grey.

The glamour that could have come with WGS was an exciting romance which I hoped might happen. But we're so fickle, it wouldn't take many defeats for all this to fizzle away. We probably were expecting too much of Strachan, and this perhaps might have been difficult to achieve. I think we are back in the realms of reality and cautious optimism, which is probably heathier, imho.

With so many free tickets for Ajax given to Season ticket holders it occurs to me that the actual attendance may not be as many as tickets released. Is anyone not able to use their ticket? I hope not. That would be so tragic. Anyway Ajax fans should be quite happy after celebrating their tenth goal. It's going to be exhibition footie from the visitors, but do we care if we lose? We have nothing to lose.

Perhaps I should rephrase, 'when few were interested in SFC'. Fair point. I certainly thought the complicated situation was deterring interest. Desperate times then. It seems so long ago already.

Sometimes we forget that Pinnacle and MLT came in when no-one else was interested in SFC. They gave us hope when all was despair. Shame it dragged on, but it's all ended well for us. Thanks for trying and all the effort given to save our club, Tony and Matt.

This is a positive appointment. Realistic. Alan Pardew wants to succeed. He will stand no nonsense, he is tough and he knows his football. And he is experienced in all levels. It is a new beginning for all of us. MLT or WGS for DOF, a kitty for strengthening the squad (Pardew will buy wisely), survive the first few weeks while the new team learns Pardew's way of playing, and we'll be off and upwards. Can't wait for tomorrow's match COYR!!!
