That would be tasty.

Didn't he win the World Cup as Germany's manager?
-
Fair enough. Not as glamorous as WGS, Not as underwhelming as Adams. But, hey, what I would have given to have had him as manager last season instead of the hapless Dutch pair. But we have everything to play for. I have been saying this for days now, Strachan will be our DOF.

Weds 22nd July Left wing Thurs 23 July Right wing

He caught the next one, but it was going in the opposite direction...
-
I don't know. I hope that helps...

He is so enthusiastic, Art, he can't wait. And he will know the truth of our squad weaknesses, which will not be a bad thing. I expect he will be here when we have a new manager too.

If you are on the database and have a membership number or you are a past season ticket holder you should be able to get a duplicate one. I have in the past. Or there are some on this site who have got free tickets and aren't able to use them.

It would not take much to alter our home strip to include the white cross out of a striped background methinks.

Lol -flogging out of date useless shares on ebay next

There was a scheme at the end of last season to donate unused tickets to others. We should do this imo. As many as possible should be there to see exhibition footie from Ajax, and support the Saints. This is the prelude to a new beginning ON the pitch (which is a relief to be saying). (just seen this recommended above)

I don't really think so. Time has moved on since his post, and anything is possible. The difficulties of negotiating any contract are well known. I am surprised if 'fit and proper persons' has been completed though. A lot of disinformation is happening imho.

Davis Murty/Thomas/Perry/Mills Lallana/James/Gillett/Gobern Rasiak/Paterson subs Saga, Wotton, Poke, Lancashire, Holmes if fit or new signing We have a problem on the wings with Holmes always injured. Lallana has the intelligence and skills to test defenders there so worth a try if Lloyd is to reclaim his place in midfield, which I think he should. Gobern has potential, and could be his year, though too lightweight at the moment for this league. He needs to strengthen his body, as do most of them. Much depends on feeding Rasiak and understanding his opportunistic positional play. Rasiak knows he has to play well if he is to get out of this division. (I wish we had had him last season, but then we would probably not ended up with our new owner)

Dennis Wise would be a tough guy manager who would knock the sleepy dust out of the eyes of our wimps who relegated us. That would be a start. DOF for Strachan would be a good job for him. It would not be a backward step and he would being charisma to the club and the long term planning which we need, which would suit both us and him.
-
My bet is Strachan as DOF and Wise as manager.
-
He didn't actually write that. It is just that Poortvliet was mentioned in the previous sentences.

Interesting. I am beginning to get a feel of a squad being built around Lloyd, Gillett and Davis, last seasons regulars, and reliable. It will be interesting to see if Henderson can build a team built on players' strengths, and in their best positions - and about time too that this 'revolutionary' idea was tried out.
-
Now that's going too far. On second thoughts, it does look like the visitors stand.

I don't recognise the lobes.

Whatever happened to football rattles?

Lobby Lud is our new manager!

Everyone will have to prove themselves here. Expect early season defeats until new players and new team are sorted out. So we could be more than -10 points after a month. That is when we fans and the new manager, whoever he is and whatever his background, will be truly tested. I'm confident it will all come good eventually. But it will be a case of gradually building confidence and all having belief.

That would be good for all of us. Let rivalries resume. I do hope that the PL are conducting a more thorough 'proper persons' check on all the parties than they have in the past though.
