  1. That is a reason. Could that not also apply to others on the more popular list too, like WGS too?
  2. Yes, can be. Any other reasons?
  3. Why don't you like Coppell? Knee jerk or genuine concern?
  4. I dare you to sing that on the Northam.
  5. Keane hates Southampton Would be a match made in hell, but I agree, we need someone tough like him, though our cherubs would cry and collapse from shock if he came here. Strachan though has the humour, personality and drive to make the kids want to work out and get fit to succeed, imho. He would haul Lallana and co out of the clubs and pubs too. Just what we want.
  6. My first NO choice: Adams
  7. Wednesday 15th mid-day. Can I collect my prize now?
  8. I've just bought my season by phone and they did ask me if I wanted to pay in instalments, but as I didn't I don't know how the scheme works. (It took me three attempts to get through by phone and then waited about three minutes in the queue -this was at 11am)
  9. I would hope for 15,000 since this is League 1 and most teams are not top draws. But all depends on how well we are doing. Get momentum towards the Play-Offs and everything could be different. But I fear a few early season defeats before we start to erode those -10 points. Let's not forget we have to rebuild from a team that is only half fit for purpose at this moment in time.
  10. So who can organise a school choir?
  11. A timely post. This is no small matter. I like Guinness, but realise it takes too long to poor. After that any real ale - YES! Tetleys is horrible rubbish and I don't like lagers. So a local brew please Mr Oldknow. You know it makes sense!
  12. Unforunately few of the rest of the players bothered to turn up for Wotte. His departure had to be.
  13. Of these the only two who are used to getting good value out of a budget are Coppell and Tisdale
  14. 9 out of 10. This is as good as I could ever dream. Just that minor worry about avoiding relegation. I guess we will get slaughtered by Ajax then Markus will know what really needs to be done. I am more hopeful we can avoid relegation now that Wotte has gone, but I am feeling very positive for the following season 2010-11.
  15. ..and that's just page one...
  16. And I reckon Jones's days are numbered.
  17. More chance or Wotte wesuming his wole with the Woyal Academy.
  18. It had to be. Mark Wotte was in charge when we were relegated. He hasn't achieved a win against two non-league clubs. His tactics were vague. He turned out to be a decent bloke who stood by the club and kept the players (and us to some extent) in the loop when everything was falling around him. For that he deserves our thanks and best wishes. He had just been awarded a year's contract by Mark Fry before we were bought by ML, so that means he will not go away poor, and that is fair enough in the circumstances. (Generous of Fry to do that btw, and I wonder if it was a thank you because he knew Wotte would not be required by the new owners? Just a thought.) Upwards and onwards! COYR!
  19. Like they did about 'arry returning to his 'spiritual home'
  20. Did it hurt?
  21. So inevitable that this thread would attract the chavs bunking off school..
  22. Gyadamak bought St Mary's for Pompey's training pitch, but a slow news week really.
  23. You may be close to illegality here.
  24. Yep. We can rebuild our team from the keeper up now. And Kelvin will probably have a say in what sort of players he wants in the back four.
  25. ML did not need to take our castle by force.
