If this were to happen at St George’s Park as previously mentioned, each team would need to commandeer a local hotel each with their own staff working there, lock down for two weeks prior without their family, and stay there there entire course of the season remainder without physically spending time with their families for potentially 10 weeks altogether without venturing outside due to risk of contagion. Can’t see people going for that really - basically a prisoner for over two months for the sake of a few games of football.

There is no way on earth JWP gets into any midfield of the last 8 years over prime Steven Davis, let alone Vic and Morgan, i don’t think he’d even make the bench.

Still paying for the ineptitude or clueless Les. If absolutely anyone still thinks it would be better if we were to go down and we’d win a lot more games and have more fun I seriously suggest you look at these accounts and just how ****ed we would be.

I’m not sure they’ll get away with not refunding and only offering discounts - I’m sure there were a lot of people that hadn’t planned on renewing anyway given how **** the last 3 years have been, I also expect there will be a fear factor that puts people off large crowds for some time yet so they won’t fancy renewing either, especially the senior citizen demographic. Can only assume we’ve paid for tickets to an event that won’t go ahead so they need to refund us, I guess business insurance will cover them - they just need to wait to be told by the relevant authorities that large crowds are banned..

Interesting - especially with Ralph’s comments about training. Even with our hybrid turf it will be at least 4 weeks till the pitch can be used. If other teams are doing the same it could point to games being held at a neutral venue as previously reported and/or no pre season between this and next.

What a team to watch that would have been....

Decent website that - well done. I’d probably scrap the ‘AKA’ thing for players that don’t need it, just seems a bit silly. look forward to spending some time reading through it during lockdown

literally had this argument with one of the toothless on Twitter the other day, he was adamant they stopped us winning the league, even though we lost to Reading AND Boro shortly after, it’s crazy how twisted they get their portsmyths. Saw a funny thing the other day too celebrating their birthday/inception in 1898, almost as if that club didn’t get liquidated and a new club was formed in 2012. Just like Rangers, want to forego all their debts, liquidate, and keep the history

I think it's fair to say the Bundesliga is about to get more overseas viewers than ever before...

I expected this to be the case tbf - essentially we’ve bought the goods from the finance company not the club. I would assume that Secure Trust Bank would transfer the money back to us on a pro rata basis based on games outstanding.

I thought Le Saux was pretty decent for us, it was the rest of the defence that let us down.
-
Christ, if he’s their top target their fans are in for a season of disappointment. Again.

We played them in the cup that year too though that’s all - I don’t remember a stand out bad performance as such, and if it hadn’t have been for crouch we’d have been dead and buried long before that last game.

Yeah I know, just asking what specific game against United that’s all

Agree with you there - this season has been brilliant, without spoiling it for anyone the recent ‘collecting the money’ episode was as close to prime Breaking Bad as we’ve had IMO Totally think Kim is hot BTW - is it just me?
-
Was anything actually agreed in the Premier League meeting today? From what I can gather they spent two hours deciding that it’s too early to plan anything.

Which game?

House up near me on Thorold Road blares out You’ll Never Walk Alone at 8pm each Thursday, makes we want to stop clapping and throw up.

Jason Euell was particularly **** for us, as was Vincent Péricard although the entire team was awful at the time!!

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m

I reckon they’ll go back for Rafa, with the funds he’s likely to have at his disposal plus the positive effect it would have on the fan base they could easily be pushing for top 4 in a couple of years. -
Discussing the end of the lockdown on various channels this morning - what are people’s opinions on this? It’s very much a human lives vs economic disaster decision. Surely we won’t end it tomorrow with the 3 weeks being up until death rates fall? Like everyone though I fear the long term damage economically for us and generations to follow.

Finally got around to watching the Sky/HBO miniseries Chernobyl over the weekend, and it was one of the finest pieces of TV I’ve had the pleasure of watching. There’s a bit of artistic license used for the sake of story telling, but it’s ultimately a horrifyingly accurate account of the disaster. Like a lot of people I knew the basics around the incident, but the levels the Soviets went to in an attempt to play it down for the sake of national pride and the long term effects on the surrounding area and thousands of innocent people is just another disturbing part of the Soviet Union legacy.

When I used it before I worked out that on a price for price comparison the amount of food you got for your money was similar between supermarkets and muscle food, where the difference lies however was the quality was far superior from musclefood and the meat was lean and not pumped full of water.

Guys bit of advice needed if any of you have kids - obviously we’re in lockdown at the moment and me and the wife want to get out and let the little one (15 months) run around whilst we get some exercise by all going for a walk. Is this allowed but frowned upon? What have other people been doing? I had been thinking of driving out to the forest and trying to get as far away from anyone else as so that we can be out as a family guilt free whilst not risking anyone’s health. Don’t want to look like a family out and about not giving a **** but as we live in an apartment the lack of garden for her to run around in and the lack of contact with anyone else is getting to her.

i work for Travis Perkins (Benchmarx) and am now on the Furlough scheme as of this morning. All seems to be pretty straightforward so far, we’re getting the 80% from the government and TP are making up the other 20% for the first 4 weeks - if it continues past that we get the 80% from the government and the company are paying 10%. They’re taking 5 days annual leave in the first period and we can take a further 5 if we want should the second 4 weeks come into play. They don’t want everyone to return to work with a whole years annual leave allocation to squeeze into 7 or so months, although the Business Secretary is expected to introduce new rules on that today so companies can carry it over.
