CB Saint Posted 25 July, 2009 Share Posted 25 July, 2009 I am off to the gee gees today and, for the first time in years, I will be able to claim the footballing high ground over one of my wife's friend's pompey supporting husband. Is it wrong to feel smug?

Saint Fan CaM Posted 25 July, 2009 Share Posted 25 July, 2009 The horizon is a very very very long way away! Damn right you should be smug! Actually the horizon is about 25 miles away if you were stood on a beach looking out to sea. It's a lot closer for those in Poopey because they have a large rubbish tip to spoil their view! It's an antique and maybe somebody will slap a listed building order on it.

Is it wrong to feel smug? What a bizarre thing to start a thread on! Firstly, if you did have a reason to claim the footballing high ground over a Pompey fan then it certainly wouldn't be the first time in years (unless you consider 3 years to be a long time). Secondly, you have no reason to claim the high ground anyway. They are a premier league team and we are in the 3rd tier on -10 points ffs! I think if you are feeling smug then you are probably also a tad deluded.
