Mattio Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 As the above title says, I'm going to (Central) London on Saturday so won't be able to attend the game but wanna see it on TV, preferably not surrounded by Millwall fans! Anyone know a good place to watch it?
maxi_sopez Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 Um i would suggest the sports cafe on haymarket, right next to picadilly circus, has hundreds of screens so one should be showing the game......just check if we are competing with any other big sporting events cos that the only time i have had problems with them putting saints on, having said that they are normalyl good enough to put it one one screen

sambosa75 Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 Famous 3 Kings is quality. Next door to West Kensington tube station. Usually get a few Saints fans in there as well. Always a good atmosphere.

sambosa75 Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 do you know if the game will definitely be shown there on saturday? They've got about 20 screens and about 10 different receivers so I'd put my mortgage on it if I had one. Call them up, the staff are always very friendly and helpful and the owners a top bloke who likes Saints so will make sure it gets played if you ask for it. chrisobee Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 Whilst not strictly in London my Watford flat will do me nicely with a few drinks, phone off the hook and DO NOT DISTURB on the door The only downside is I find watching the game on TV far more nerve wracking than being there ! Bwanamakubwa Posted 3 August, 2009 Share Posted 3 August, 2009 They will have it on for sure. Last time I went to watch a saints game there, they had some Norweign league game on, the F1, rugby and hurling I think.... Surely even though we are not top dollar news anymore Andy (thats the guy who manages it or at least used to) will find some room for the saints! Another Watford Saint! makes too of us! I'll probably be watching at the Walkabout in the town centre, only place with that may show the game and the Ashes, if you fancy a pint. At least 3 in fact, Buzzin Orn is another and EFM lives in St Albans. Whereabouts in Watford are you ? I'd send you a pm but I don't think you can receive them. I'm in Cassio Road so easy for the town centre !

Jeez that was SO bad I went and did my own ironing.... Mind you the bowling was almost as bad Maybe I should just watch a couple of episodes of House instead........ nah......... That was a stupid idea, it's NEVER Lupus Red Dwarf anniversary DVD instead Meanwhile on topic, as we know what will happen, perhaps one of those non-descript pubs off Oxford street full of casual shoppers would be a good move, then at least one could PRETEND to be only passing by and avoid those sympathetic looks as we go 0-1 down after 36 seconds
