Papa ready to start?

After a cameo and two decent sub appearances is this the time to throw him in from the start? We could certainly use his pace and the extra options it would bring. Up front he would also help create space for Lambert with his movement. We need to take the game to Rovers and he would give the crowd a lift. Or is he better coming on as an impact sub?

It's all down to his level of fitness. It's known he wasn't match fit when he got here and that is why he has been in the reserves and coming on in the latter parts of second halves. His match time in the first time seems to be increasing, from 2 minutes, to 25 minutes, to about half an hour, so I imagine he is getting there, and it will be good when he can start as he looks dangerous. It was said he got injured in the reserves, and then he came on at Carlisle and looked fine, dunno what that was all about.

I'd be tempted to play a 4-3-3 with Saga, Lambert and Papa up front, but then that means that we'd have to compromise the midfield in order to suit the attack.

If I were to play a 4-3-3 against Bristol Rovers though, i'd play something like:

-----------Davis--------------

James--Jaidi--Trotter--Harding

--Lallana--Hammond--Mills-----

----Papa--Lambert--Saga-----

Subs: Bart/Forecast (if Bart is on loan), Perry, Schneiderlin, Holmes, Patterson, Lancashire

It's a tough decision between Lallana and Schneiderlin, but I think that Lallana is a bit more hard working in the midfield, and while definately a central player, he would be more likely to attack down the flanks instead of Schneiderlin. The thing with Schneiderlin is, he is by far our best passer of the ball, and given the right training and opportunities he will be a class player, but at the moment i'd prefer to play Lallana over him.

Although I think your post and team is good I cannot really see Pardew starting with that team probably have Schneiderlin in for either papa or Saga

If Thomas is fit then what? James in midfield possibly

saga has done nothing for ages. Feel he has got to the stage where he was at when he 1st arrived. needs a goal and then i reckon he could go on a scoring spree like his first half season. Either that or he just needs a change.

Our service has to be better. Lambert hasnt scored to many from open play has he. It will come with time.
