chrisobee Posted 11 October, 2009 Author Posted 11 October, 2009 Utterly shameful, what is wrong with certain people on here. I didn't start the thread for your amusement so show some respect.

Crab Lungs Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 It's very sad and for a fleeting moment in my life, I was concerned. But... what is it with people who feel the need to be the first or be seen professing their condolences about someone they've never given a ****e about, never known and are likely to forget in the next thirty minutes when they tuck into their roast dinners? Facebook already has about fifty groups of people scrambling to write the most heartfelt obituaries but I'd put money on them just switching their PC's off when they're done and forgetting all about it. I don't know if I'm in the minority, but what is it with over-the-top outcry of public grief from people? It looks like a bloody competition half the time.... Regardless, RIP Steven.
Rattlehead Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 For the first time ever, I agree with Crab Nads. I should also point out that Christina, the lady who started the thread, failed to even spell his first name correctly. How respectful.
hypochondriac Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 It's terrible when people die so young. The worst effect will be on his family and those closest to him. The going is going to get tough for them over the next few days and weeks. My condolences.
hypochondriac Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 What a bummer. I'm finding it difficult to describe how I'm feeling about this tragic event TBH. It's a wonder that I'm even able to write anything about it since it's brought back memories of similar events in my own life. Words don't come easily to me at the best of times. I think it makes you appreciate your own life when someone goes at such a young age. No matter what happens in the future, I will remember this and be thankful just to be alive and healthy. There does seem to be a certain amount of injustice with all this really and I think this creates an interesting debate about the existence of a supernatural being or "God." What sort of God would allow something like this to happen? If prayers were answered then this sort of thing would not be happening. There is no justice.

For the first time ever too I find myself agreeing with Rattlehead
hypochondriac Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 This is the Lounge guys. Yep. No matter what you thought of the man himself, anyone dying in their thirties is a tragedy and it should be treated with respect.
Rattlehead Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 Why has my "Was it AIDS" post been removed? Perfectly genuine question in the circumstances.
Dog Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 Oh thanks for that, may he RIP I think that may have been part of the cause.
hypochondriac Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 See if you can figure it out. I think this thread should be locked now mods. It's only words on a messageboard but clearly some people don't think before posting.
