The Pride is back

This weekend I really can feel the pride coming back to the club. For the last few years when people have asked me who I support its with a sorta sheepish whimper that I say "erherm Southampton...". But today I'm proud again of our SAINTS.

Our players are top quality for this league, they seem like they're battling and enjoy putting in 110% effort every week.

Our manager says all the right things, he isnt afraid to say when players were poor, but he praises as well.

Our chairman is ready to do the best for the team whilst not compromising the position of the club.

Oh and our owner is MINTED.

AND of course being part of the best fans in the league is amazing. Its bl**dy typical that when I head off to Uni we start playing brilliantly and still haven't even seen Hammond play, but I feel like ive been to every game because everyone is united for a change!

May this feeling long continue and I now cant wait to get back to St. Mary's.

In true Saints tradition we will now lose our next few games - never get excited about Saints, they will always let you down.....

or will they?

Almost all I read from you is negative dross. Not really sure what you aim to achieve with it all???

Crowds.

I was proud yesterday.......................until about twenty idiots decided to have a pop at the Oldham fans and I was having to make sure I didnt get hit by something.

I dont care what people say there is no excuse and whilst the club may be making us proud fans (If that's what they call themselves) like that are not.

The red socks look rubbish, and I think the hooped ones are excellent, and certainly nice in comparison.

I dislike any Saints kit you can't actually buy in the club shop (white FA Cup semi final shorts, black socks with red turnovers in 2007 v Leicester, yellow away kits that aren't the same as the anniversary kit, red away shorts and socks last season, etc.)

Not quite sure what the point of the ref having us change them was, if he can't tell the difference between a plain white sock and a white/red hooped sock when the ball bounces off someone near the touchline he shouldn't be reffing in the first place.

In case anyone from the club is looking on here I feel disposed to agree that red socks with our outfit are complete gash and should NEVER be included as part of our official kit. Okay if a referee makes us change, but only then.

Yes we have worn red socks over the years and they have always looked horrible, not enough contrast with the rest of the kit maybe.

IMO white socks are always the best look for our kit and we should stick with them. Mostly they have been white in recent years, so modern kit designers most probably agree with me on this.

New kit will be due for next season (hopefully in CCC) so I want to make an early plea for WHITE socks please, definately not red...
