Glad he didnt come here as manager in the summer. Edited 25 October, 2009 by beatlesaint

CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 24 October, 2009 Share Posted 24 October, 2009 They all went down just a touch on the easy side. And why shouldn't they ? - the ref gave them a free kick every time .

Hopkins Posted 25 October, 2009 Share Posted 25 October, 2009 I saw it. Don't see the problem. Easter was telling the bloke to lay down because he was currently squatting and being ignored by the referee. Laying down gets the refs attention and the ref was made to look a complete bell end when the injured player required treatment and then subbed off at HT. Saint_clark Posted 25 October, 2009 Author Share Posted 25 October, 2009 agreed....didnt we win a penalty with saga diving this season...where was saint clark with his 'fury' then..? I wasn't furious then but I still cringed when it happened. Easter was telling him to go down purely to waste time, the player was hobbling about when he made the gesture so there was nothing to stop him hobbling off to the touchline (which, by the way, he was 5 feet from before he got back up and moved infield again). But refs have been told not to stop play unless for a head injury?

Saint_clark Posted 25 October, 2009 Author Share Posted 25 October, 2009 i think it is their discretion to be honest So he made a decision that the player wasn't too badly injured (and indeed, he was walking) and played on.

Arizona Posted 25 October, 2009 Share Posted 25 October, 2009 At one point in the second half, their goalie did his usual hoof up the pitch and it bounced through to Davis. I swear I saw Easter (who was chasing the ball with Trottman) look over at the ref and then just fall over in a heap. The only surprise for me was that the ref didn't give it. Made me laugh at the time to be honest, it was just that f*cking ridiculous.
SFKA South Woodford Posted 25 October, 2009 Share Posted 25 October, 2009 Biggest surprise for me, was that the ref didn't give them a penalty when Jaidi and Easter where tussling for the ball, Jaidi won and Easter just fell over, I thought he'd give it for sure, as he'd given them everything else. I'm starting to think there is one set of rules for Saints in this division and one set for all the other teams, as our players are constantly getting dumped on the ground or jumped into or on, our having players trying to scythe them in two, and yet we don't get a free kick, and yet as soon as one of our players goes near theirs and they fall over, a free kick is given. The reffing is awful at this level especially for us.
