Footballfan Posted 12 November, 2009 Share Posted 12 November, 2009 How can a ref have the same colour shirt on as the away team, he must have noticed as he changed to black at half time or was he told by Sky TV to change?

the saint in winchester Posted 12 November, 2009 Share Posted 12 November, 2009 Yeah, I noticed that first half, and was glad to see he was 'back to black' for the second half. Didn't improve his performance though. Charlton could see they could get away with muggings and GBH, so it got worse.
Rocker268 Posted 12 November, 2009 Share Posted 12 November, 2009 You'd have thought it would have been common sense for him to start in black, after kick off the first time he blew his whistle it took me quite a while to even find him, don't know how the players coped with it really
mightysaints Posted 12 November, 2009 Share Posted 12 November, 2009 He was bloody awfull even compared to the dross we have had this season. At one stage when we broke one of their defenders had hold of Lamberts head, looked like he was trying to pull his head off and how did he miss the 2 penalties. Dimond Geezer Posted 12 November, 2009 Share Posted 12 November, 2009 I can't understand how a ref could be so imcompetent. When I played in goal in the Saturday & Sunday leagues, I would always find out what colour the opposition team was wearing before selecting my own top from the kit bag, (basically because I was too lazy to run all the way back to the changing rooms to change ). Surely a professional (are they professional at this level?) ref could manage to do the same. There are 4 officials, one of them must have spotted the similarity. team-saint Posted 12 November, 2009 Share Posted 12 November, 2009 I thought the ref was quite good, didn't give many free kicks for 50-50s and so kept the game going. There was only one possibly penalty incident that I can remember and I didn't think it was a penalty.

We should've had a penalty for a handball in the second half but I guess he just didn't see it clearly or gave the defender the benefit. The two appeals in the first half were correctly turned down. VectisSaint Posted 12 November, 2009 Share Posted 12 November, 2009 All refs are sh!t, every single one. And without them there would be no games... Thought the ref was quite good last night, most "dubious" decisions turned out to be correct with the benefit of TV replays (the linos were not so good but thats different). Also made due allowance for the awful conditions and did not whistle or book players unneccessarily. That said, he should have noticed the colour clash. paulwantsapint Posted 12 November, 2009 Share Posted 12 November, 2009 Tried to get the manure 6-3 chant going of you're **** in a different kit wasn't that sure that ref wasn't clashing 2nd half as charlton wore blue & black
