Thursday Tickets Sales

I'm not being funny but anyone who queues up is a bit of a spazza. What's the point when all you have to do is ring a freephone number, pay with a debit card, and get the tickets delivered free of charge.

In any case they won't sell out quickly. They never have done for local derbies. Even when we played the Skates at the Dell during Merringtons tenure tickets went to general sale.

I'm not even going to bother til they go on sale unlinked. If I get a ticket I get one, if i don't I don't, but the chances are i'll get a ticket.

You say that, Pompey sold their tickets this morning in 3 hours. Ok they only had 4,500 to sell, but still. The demand will be there.

I'm not suggesting we won't sell out, merely that it'll take time. I base this purely on past precedents. Lots of older fans won't go, and many families won't go.

It won't sell out. Stupid ticketing arrangement will take care of that.

As I've said before on other posts, theey should have given season ticket holders the chance to buy two tickets.

As has been said older fans and families won't go, and many prople who would love to go have never got themselves on the data base due to others buying the tickets.

i got 2 x unlinked tickets for Pompey online, just using my customer number, im not a season ticket holder either

Hmmm yes I did think people might be able to do this. I think by buying online it is pretty easy to get around the imposed restrictions. For example I already have a ticket, as I'm a season ticket holder, but it'd probably let me by another one on unlinked sale.

You got your tickets yet ? If not, then I doubt you will. Spoke to the ticket office today and they said that the rules are being followed strictly and anyone who did somehow manage to get a ticket as you have described, they won't be sent out. I've tried as have several mates using their customer numbers and the online system won't allow it.

The club are concerned that if pompey fans get in amongst the home fans there will be trouble and the club could have to play games behind closed doors. Therefore ticket rules are being adhered to.

It will sell out, but not on thursday!

As long as you're prepared to queue for an hour or so you will get tickets at any point during the day.

The phone 'seems' easier but not if they don't have enough lines etc.

Still, being a season ticket holder now ... it's not my worry anyway. ;-)

Has anyone who ordered their tickets by phone on Wednesday last week received them in the post yet?

Going to have to frisk postie in the morning!

I ordered mine online last week and they haven't arrived (yet). Usually Saints tickets arrive next day when I order them.

chances of many being about for unlinked general?

So its £30 for the pompey game, how much for the second home game if i go linked? Another £27?

Either £22(behind goal or wings) or £25(centre) for an adult and they really want you to go to the Walsall game but it is at the discretion of the ticket office staff.

Guys can I have some help please?

I live a few hours away from Southampton now and want tickets for this game more than a fat man wants cake. I can't make the Walsall game but could do another when I'm back in red and white land. But it says on the OS that I can only do this by visiting the ticket office. Have I got this right? Surely there must be a system which will enable me and other saints fans from further afield to get tickets without making the long trip just to pick up a couple of tickets. If not, I'm not going to risk not going to the game, it'll just leave 2 empty seats at the Walsall game (and a bigger whole in my bank account!).

Thanks in advance,

RAWBA

The second 'linked' game does not have to be the Warsaw one, it say's on the OS it can be a 'game of the customers choosing'.

I did just say that. :)

Just checked and it's "If supporters cannot make the Walsall game, other fixtures can be chosen at the discretion of each supporter."

I think we are both right but one of us is more right than the other. Either way it could have been clearer I reckon plus if you are already on the db that imho should have been sufficient. If all goes well the Warsaw game will be well attended anyway.

picked my Skate tickets up today and they have a lot of Temp staff in ticket office who haven't got a clue and are very slow, so beware it may take a long time

Echo that, it did not help yesterday afternoon that a steward told us to pick a window rather than 1 line the normal staff were doing 3 to the others 1

Saint Stevo

I did just this last week for my wife's details. I just sent an email to tickets@saintsfc.co.uk and got a reply the same day. In fact they actually phoned me up to discuss it so they got the details correct. I was very impresed. The girl who sorted it was called April. Very helpful.

HOWEVER, the OS clearly says that this facility will not be available online from Thursday so the only way to get your tickets from this Thursday is either in person or via the phone....until general sale to database starting on 10th Feb.
