With the plaudits that our performance in FA cup received.

With fact that we are aiming to sell 44,000 tickets for JPT final

Fact we are there!

Players that are getting good reviews; Lambert, Lallana

Manager who media speak highly of

Ownership getting only positive press.

We may still be scrambling around the gutter but looking to the stars!

I stand by wanting our position over the skates and am still pretty proud to be red and white.

I remember I had just moved to Andover when I was about 7 (stayed there 9 years!!) and at school for PE we would put on our football kit for a kick around and I was the only one in a saints kit and I took so much pride in this, I will always love saints and proud to be sotonian.

You are right we are on the up and we all get to be a part of it, I can afford to see more games at the mo (have a ST which I would not be able to get in the prem) although prem is where I want saints to be.

Fact is we're in L1 due to poor management at the top. It's gone - let it go. We're a L1 team. BUT SO WHAT!?!? I am hugely enjoying watching Saints now. This time last year I was seriously contemplating not renewing my ST and never coming back. I hated the club and its football THAT much. Compared to the Lowe dark days I am incredibly happy now, so much so I couldn't give a stuff what league we're in. Honestly.

Love being a Saint even when the sh1t was hitting the fan i was still going because I love going to footy and watching my team but this season has been great.

So pleased we are getting our day out at Wembley thought our team and support was immense against the Cod Snoggers 3 30k + games this season if we keep the mometum going good things are round the corner.

Whilst the Prem is the promised land I love seeing us win and next time we get there we will be able to compete.

How lucky are we compared to the Blue few wouldnt swap places for all the Tea in China

There are lots of reasons to be proud to be a saint & have enjoyed this season more than the last 5 or so. We have truely seen some very dark days which is why today things seem better than they are.

We have along way to go as the Pompey game proved but we do appear to have an exciting future.

Fingers crossed markus remains for many years.

You thought is was a Saints kit - it was an Andover kit really but at 7 you had no idea possibly. Stayed there for 9 years! Why at 13 did you think of leaving or did you stay until you were 16 because you actually had no choice in the matter being a minor and all that?

I think it must have been the appearance of the dreaded No '7' in the post has set you off

No we wore are own stuff when training, and yea I would remember. parents moved when I was 16 (9 years) as I was only 16 I moved with them to. My Dad took me to the Dell as well and I was a massive MLT and even a Timmy Flowers fan - being a kid in all.

Do you think I would lie about this? what would be to point in that - try and prove I'm a saints fan! I always have been and always will be.

This is where I am from and live now and I love it here, have my first ever season ticket (could never have one before as I was in the army REME. but when (hopefully) we get back to the prem I will only go to the games I can afford maybe cup ones I don't know.

Didnt really know how to reply to you but hope this is enough!

What a very odd comment from somebody who I can only assume to be a very odd person.

being a saints fans is good...but not as good as it was in 2003...

league 1 is ok..and it is a shame we are an average league 1 team.

wembley will be a good laugh mind

there is no way that we are an average league one team. Give us our -10 back and if it wasn't for a poor start (pre transfers) we'd be right up there with Norwich and Leeds

Come on Nineteen. This is a thread about feeling good to be a Saint and your contribution is to nit pick a post by another querying his own personal circumstances as to why he was in Andover when he was a kid.

I have absolutely no qualms about stating that I have not been this content to be a Saints supporter for many years and I invite you to either join in and share your good feelings, or else tell us why you are not enjoying the current situation.

basically..if we had won more matches

It's a combination of not having the squad we have now at the start of the season, starting on -10 and not converting enough draws into wins lately.

This doesn't mean that we are average, just a couple of tweaks away from being a very good side for this level.
