Give it to Ron Posted 27 February, 2010 Share Posted 27 February, 2010 That Walsall centre back was the worst defender I have seen in professional football...he wasnt even Commercial Houses standard. One time in the first half no-one was near him and he thrashed it our for a throw in near the 18 yard line...I wouldn't expect my nippers under 13 defence to do that! Our attack first half had them all over the place and loved the way Ricky kept getting himself up against the small left back for headers.
Saint_clark Posted 27 February, 2010 Share Posted 27 February, 2010 28? Clayton McDonald? They worship him in Walsall. Reminded me of Goomba from the Super Mario Bros film.

Saint_lambden Posted 27 February, 2010 Share Posted 27 February, 2010 If we're talking about the number 28 then yes- he was awful. Couldn't deal with Lambert and the Ref missed him holding Barnard's and mostly Lambert's shirts so many times during the game. One game he will want to forget I bet

It makes you proud to be British .

Perhaps if they were paid more they would be able to focus more on becoming better Match Officials and better incomes would encourage young talented referees to make a career in football if only they made even half the amount a professional footballer makes.
