ponto1963 Posted 22 March, 2010 Share Posted 22 March, 2010 Hi, website says "Ricky hits 30" but on all the stats I can find he's on 29, now chances are he'll blast way through 30 by the end of the season, but are they wrong or have I missed a goal somewhere?? And yes, the stats do include the one he scored for Bristol.
farawaysaint Posted 22 March, 2010 Share Posted 22 March, 2010 Hmmmm, that disputed goal that always pops up when ricky hits a milestone this season. Can't remember which goal it was, sorry
Appy Posted 22 March, 2010 Share Posted 22 March, 2010 The 2nd against Bristol Rovers at SMS. The ball crossed the line when Lambert headed it down and Waigo followed up and put it in.
mancsaint Posted 22 March, 2010 Share Posted 22 March, 2010 On the OS, the club stats page is wrong, but the stats on each players profile page are right. RIGHT Club stats http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/Statistics/0,,10280,00.html WRONG Lambert stats http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10280~10430,00.html Waigo stats http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10280~38297,00.html I mailed the webmaster yesterday to highlight the error

RonManager Posted 22 March, 2010 Share Posted 22 March, 2010 :smt076 Not sure why I put that down. I've missed one then It's this Bristol rovers goal that's causing the problem. That makes it 30 and as it's in the programme I guess it's official.

ponto1963 Posted 22 March, 2010 Author Share Posted 22 March, 2010 Is the difference the goal that he scored for Bristol Rovers on the opening day? No included that one already. League stats say 29 Saints stats say 28 From the sound of things it's claimed goal that's been given to some one else by the powers that be. St Landrew Posted 22 March, 2010 Share Posted 22 March, 2010 BBC website shows Lambert with 25 league goals. Plus the 5 in the Cups, means the magic 30. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/top_scorers/default.stm

Soccerbase have him at this also Now I'm not too bothered about Soccerbase, but I wish the OS would get it right. --------------------------------------------------------------- Actually that doesn't include his Rovers goal so Soccerbase is correct Edited 22 March, 2010 by ponto1963 Corection

krissyboy31 Posted 22 March, 2010 Share Posted 22 March, 2010 24 for southampton. look lower down the page and it shows 30 for the season. Correct! And they have credited him with the second goal against Rovers, whereas some other sources credited Papa. Definitely Rickie's goal!
West End Saint Posted 22 March, 2010 Share Posted 22 March, 2010 What a signing and player Ricky is it is not just his goal scoring his hold up & link up play are quality we are lucky to have him. Just hope we can keep this squad together I would like to think with a proper pre season we will hit the ground running and should be to good for League 1 I know I am temting fate and nothing is a given but if AP just adds 1 or 2 and we get rid of the dead wood we are going places next season. I have really enjoyed this season big thanks to marcus Nicolas & AP for getting our club going in the right direction and splashing out on players like Lambo
ponto1963 Posted 22 March, 2010 Author Share Posted 22 March, 2010 Daft thing with the OS is that in the match report they actually say its Ricky's goal "Within a minute of the re-start Saints were back in front. A move which was started by Lambert found Lloyd James on the right. The Welshman delivered a pinpoint cross for the former Bristol Rovers man, who crashed a header in off the bar, and Papa Waigo N'Diaye put the ball in to make sure, but the linesman had already flagged it as Lambert's goal."
