Saintandy666 Posted 28 March, 2010 Share Posted 28 March, 2010 Papa is a legend, he just didn't want to let go of that cup at the end, and really looked like he was enjoying himself today.

Um Bongo Posted 28 March, 2010 Share Posted 28 March, 2010 Papa is a legend, he just didn't want to let go of that cup at the end, and really looked like he was enjoying himself today. Lol, if you watch it when the cup is lifted by Davis & Hammond, He darts along and joins cuts to the front of the queue. Top scorer in the competition as well. St Landrew Posted 28 March, 2010 Share Posted 28 March, 2010 His goal celebration is quite celebrated in itself. I believe it is meant to be a deadman's walk, because he usually ends it with a chop to the neck. I don't think he's referring to himself or a mythical striker, but the other team. Basically, he's killed them with a goal. Which is usually true. Glad someone found out about the t-shirt because I was wondering about that too. StD Posted 28 March, 2010 Share Posted 28 March, 2010 Loved it when he lifted the cup (perhaps 5th in line) and then just walked off with it (almost to the top of the steps back down). The players behind were all shouting at him to come back so they'd also get the chance to lift it. Amused me anyway...

redandwhitebill Posted 28 March, 2010 Share Posted 28 March, 2010 The guy only ever contributes tap-ins, offsides and dodgy goal celebrations... and still manages to be a complete cult hero. The word legend is overused in sport and would be entirely inappropriate here, too. Star, the nonetheless.

Good work - i love it!!! - he always seems to do it in front of where we are sitting and it really makes me laugh. He is a better player than some on here give him credit for!! I hope we keep him as he is fun to have around!!!

St Landrew Posted 28 March, 2010 Share Posted 28 March, 2010 lol.... now that has made him even more of a legend!!! That Papa Waigo dance video has been around for ages. They bloody love him in Italy, espcially at Fiorentina. You can find plenty of comments asking for him to return. Of course, he just might. It's a damn sight warmer in Italy. I'd certainly rather he stayed though. Great character.
BadgerBadger Posted 28 March, 2010 Share Posted 28 March, 2010 That win seem to mean alot to the players - good sign, it'll build unity in the team to push on, zero negatives from today
SaintBobby Posted 28 March, 2010 Share Posted 28 March, 2010 Really want us to sign him now. Think he's 7/10 for quality, but 11/10 for character...and that goes a long way!
Junior Mullet Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 Anyone else see him in the dressing room after when Sky cameras went in? He was chucking water everywhere and if you didnt know any better looked off his head! Brilliant, clearly meant a lot to him. Can you imagine how he would react if we won the FA Cup? Great stuff. Andy_Porter Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 His little flick to Lambert in the build up to his goal was absolutley fantastic. Would love it if we could sign him for next season, gives us something different to Barnard.

Clifford Nelson Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 Lol, if you watch it when the cup is lifted by Davis & Hammond, He darts along and joins cuts to the front of the queue. Top scorer in the competition as well. And kept us in the competition both against Torquay and Norwich. From that perspective the cup was more his than anybody elses. I rate him very highly and it's a pity that AP doesn't seem to. I doubt we'll see him here next season.
Paul Chuckle Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 Waigo's celebration's at the end are truly brilliant. When he's lining up for thr trophy you just see him keep leaning outwards about 5 times almost seeing how many players are infront of him. It just makes me lol as from know where he just then seems to be next to Hammond holding the cup aloft. Obviously meant so much to him and fair play to the lad, he's come from Serie A in Italy to a 3rd tier English side but he's now got to play at Wembley and win a trophy in England. Also will make me laugh as for years to come we will have the image of the JPT being lifted with Papa Waigo wearing that t-shirt with that Spiritual guy on the front
