forever a red and white Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 have to say thought it was great of Pardew to bring on Perry with a few mins to go, least he deserved consdiering how many other games he played in JPt this year. Think should also think aobut how unlucky Thomas and Morgan were to miss out yesterday, they too probably would have played, os it was nice to win for them at least as well. http://www.football-league.co.uk/johnstonespainttrophy/news/20100328/trophy-reaction-morgan-schneiderlin_2246525_2008865 What a day! Huntingdon Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 I was wondering what Drew Surman was thinking Festering away in Wolves reserves, whilst watching his mate Lallana scoring a goal at Wembley and lifting a trophy

alpine_saint Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 I was wondering what Drew Surman was thinking Festering away in Wolves reserves, whilst watching his mate Lallana scoring a goal at Wembley and lifting a trophy My first thought on reading this was "lets go and get him f**king back in the summer" The second thought was that hes probably not good enough for our midfield now. Matthew Le God Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 ...and Lloyd James. Must be hard to miss out to injury. Lloyd James has been fit enough to be on the bench for the last two games so he is likely only missing match fitness/sharpness.

THat's what I meant, he'd have started at right back if he'd been fit enough.
saintsforlife7 Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 Sorry for Morgan, played a lot of games this year and one of our most vital players so such a shame he could not be fit enough yesterday
Window Cleaner Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 Sorry for Morgan, played a lot of games this year and one of our most vital players so such a shame he could not be fit enough yesterday Doesn't really matter, there'll be other occasions for him I expect. Right decision by the staff not to play half-fit players just for the occasion. We'll need him more for the run in,starting at Brighton on Thursday because I doubt that they'll gift us three goals. Yes, the bench was a bit special, too Bart, Perry, Connolly and James had all featured in prev. rounds Nice touch of AP to put Perry on at the end - especially when it didn't really matter anymore. We have no depth in central midfield, plus he could play on either flank so I could see him doing a job for us. Be nice to see him back but I don't see it happening. He's good enough but I don't think he's the right sort of player to go with our midfield now, the 2m or so it would cost to buy him back could be spent better on someone else imo.
