ericofarabia Posted 11 August, 2010 Share Posted 11 August, 2010 Okay we've seen the post match reports/interviews but nobody has remarked on the burning issue .... how was the catering and service? Did the pies run out (or was there anything running out of the pies ) are people still queueing up for their halftime beer, and did they run out of Ovaltine and Sanatogen in the away supporters section. Pedro Posted 11 August, 2010 Share Posted 11 August, 2010 Catering in the concourses is awful, crap food, crap service, tried to get a beef madras pasty before half time (head of the queue) and they had run out of those and ordinary pasties. Surely there's a back up stock in freezers on site somewhere.
Spudders Posted 11 August, 2010 Share Posted 11 August, 2010 Think eric is just taking the p*ss in this thread Pedro. see here for all genuine catering comments http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?24361-The-new-catering-at-St-Mary-s

Turkish Posted 11 August, 2010 Share Posted 11 August, 2010 You make some valid points Eric, i went down 5 minutes into the half time break and there were long queues for beer, i was outraged that in a stadium with 17,000 in, i would have to queue for any longer than 30 seconds. It ruined the evening for me that i couldn't be one of the beer bellied louts stood around in the concorse laughing and joking and stuffing my face full of pies, burgers and beer during half time. I am going to send Cortese a strongly worded email expressing my anger.
toofarnorth Posted 11 August, 2010 Share Posted 11 August, 2010 Anyone else see the guy coming round the crowd selling pasties at the start of the second half. Bit random.

Sarcasm aside, there was no queue in the Northam concourse at half-time compared to Saturday, but then the AFCB lot had Blocks 43 and 42 - so clearly the solution is to reduce the number of fans they have to serve - maybe that's CORTESE'S CLUMPY PLAN ? Bourno Posted 11 August, 2010 Share Posted 11 August, 2010 Got a hotdog prior to kick off and it was rubbish. The nipper wanted burger and chips which we got that right outside the ground£3.50 for a cheeseburger and £2.50 for a small tray of chips what a ripp off, sarnies next time. Tell the nipper not to be such a greedy little sod. Point out a fewof the many fatties in our fan base and tell him if he keeps guzzling that sh*t he'll end up like them, that'll do the trick. Why cant you buy soft drinks from the same bar as beer? This too is outrageous. Some people might have to queue twice in 15 minutes. On another note i discovered that the Joshua Tree does a cracking Bacon bap for only £2. Edited 11 August, 2010 by Turkish
fish fingers Posted 11 August, 2010 Share Posted 11 August, 2010 There were no Steak and Kidney or Chicken and Mushroom pies on the menu last night. Pretty shambolic really. A football ground with no pies.

ozzmeister Posted 12 August, 2010 Share Posted 12 August, 2010 You think this bad, Wembley ran out if soft drinks (even the carbonated ones) at half time yesterday! Now for a national stadium, during the summer holidays, with a market push for family tickets and hence lots of kids this in my eyes is shambolic!
