Colbury Posted 12 September, 2010 Share Posted 12 September, 2010 Yes it has everything to do with the shirts and nothing to do with the fact we are playing like a bunch of c*nts.

docker-p Posted 12 September, 2010 Share Posted 12 September, 2010 why didnt we play in our away shirt yesterday, especially as they play in red and white. These white shirts are jinxed. It's was foreseen by my great uncle, Docker Warlock III, who predicted on his death bed that should Saints forsake the red & white stripes, misery, pestilence and plague would befall the city. One down, two to go.
Matthew Le God Posted 12 September, 2010 Share Posted 12 September, 2010 why didnt we play in our away shirt yesterday Because a largely white kit doesn't clash with a largely red kit.

SaintBobby Posted 12 September, 2010 Share Posted 12 September, 2010 Because the ref was in black? (as was Smith, the Swindon keeper...)

chocco boxo Posted 12 September, 2010 Share Posted 12 September, 2010 I hate those shirts, get back to red and white stripes. Also Black socks do not do it, they are harder to pick out for a passing player!

Also Black socks do not do it, they are harder to pick out for a passing player! You mean "passing" as in walking by OR "passing" as in moving the ball from one player to another (preferably on the same side ) ??? If the latter, I'll review when we get someone who can do that

SaintRichmond Posted 12 September, 2010 Share Posted 12 September, 2010 Whute flags would have been more appropriate yesterday imo. The wonderful New Kit makes them look like Ten Tampax at a 30 deg angle ( Matches what is currently inside the shirts I suppose )
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 12 September, 2010 Share Posted 12 September, 2010 Yeah thats right , its all down to the shirts.......................FFS.
SN5_Saint Posted 12 September, 2010 Share Posted 12 September, 2010 I don't like the new kit either. Southampton is red and white stripes and I want to see my team play in proper red and white stripes. But judging by the number of people wearing them at games I'm in a minority and will have to accept that.
The9 Posted 12 September, 2010 Share Posted 12 September, 2010 why didnt we play in our away shirt yesterday, especially as they play in red and white. These white shirts are jinxed. Probably because they don't clash. I've been waiting for two months for a side to wear red against us at St Mary's, but both Bournemouth and Swindon conjured up new third black kits to prevent an non-existent clash (and then had to change their socks anyway). Out kit is predominantly white/white/black, not sure why that would clash with all red. Oh, and we'll see how "jinxed" the kit is when the players start actually bothering, instead of playing slow build up predictable guff which allows the opposition to get 11 men behind the ball. alpine_saint Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 Why must we only play in red and white stripes ? Our most successful years, the Patrick years, were hardly red and white stripes. And we had all those dire Hummel kits as well, and still won. I quite liked the quarter kit, but there you go.
