dubai_phil Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 Given what has happened to our once fine and often looked up to club since the move I am begining to wonder. Yawn, yes it is. Yes a White Witch was brought in to Exorcise it, yes that all went wrong and she undid her undoing, Allegedly reading the thousand similar posts on here & it's predecessors over the past years. Yes I think something should be done, even if it is a simple dedication service
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 Surely its more that the Dell was a massive benefit to us as teams hated playing there due to how close the crowd was, and it was that that helped us punch above our weight for so many years
gonzo Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 No St Marys is not jinxed. We've simply been mismanaged and therefore things went tits up. To quote a certain Mr Adkins it's as simple as that. We're now in the process of recovering from said mismanagement.

Pilchards Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 Not jinxed at all, put it down to lazy pre season training and the players not being fit to wear the shirt at the start of the season, this causes the fans jumping on the players backs which makes them too nervous to hold the ball longer and playing passing football. Pilchards Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 Im pretty sure we were at SMS the season we went to the FA Cup Final... Other than the Spurs game we had three easier home matches at SMS in our 2003 season. IMHO you should expect to win them games against lower division teams. Flyer Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 Theres something about those single tier stadium, clubs get them and then lose all the advantage of their old stadiums. Probably because the front row is at least 10 yards from the pitch. The Dell was great for atmoshpere and was a huge advantage for Saints. St Marys isnt. Theres no home advantage. tttdcs Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 (edited) Yes I think you are right, also lets sell Lambert, sack Adkins and burn Cortese to a stake. Can we change this forum's banner to the Kenny Everett one yet? ps - I forgot the boycott of all matches Edited 16 September, 2010 by tttdcs

RedAndWhite91 Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 Yes, Leeds slipped to League One, Elland Road MUST be jinxed. Was probably jinxed after all the title wins, cup wins and Champions League football. Because there's no other reason why teams go through bad spells in their history. It MUST be jinxed. Get a grip. I don't think St Mary'sis jinxed Just the White Nightshirt Kit Get rid of it, bring back our traditional Red and White Stripes, and let's get back to being SAINTS again
dune Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 A few of us did a Oui Ja board in St Marys (the area not the stadium) when I was younger and made contact with a murderer, so there is certainly some bad spirits around the place. I think we should call in an exorcist to be on the safe side.

Give it to Ron Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 Well we won a cup last season - finished in the playoffs if not for the -10, had the leagues top goalscorers, Lambert, Barnard(suspended), Lallana 20 goals(injured), Waigo 9? goals, Antonio pacey winger MOM in final of JPT loan not renewed so there looks a pattern to me there and its nothing to do with a jinx. It more shocking management in not replacing them and missing 30 goals a season players for most of the games so far.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 16 September, 2010 Share Posted 16 September, 2010 We are not jinxed An inablity to score or to keep clean sheets can only lead to one result! The players have to put these two facts right and soon!

Dr Who? Posted 17 September, 2010 Share Posted 17 September, 2010 Given what has happened to our once fine and often looked up to club since the move I am begining to wonder. No I think we have got a quite normal home record and probably better than most in our league over the last season. I can remember losing many games at The Dell, but perhaps that was cursed as well? St iow Posted 18 September, 2010 Share Posted 18 September, 2010 I always felt when st marys was built it needed a little feel of the dell in some way! Liverpool are looking into this with there new stadium build, they want it to be a far bigger Anfield but have a new kop etc. I loved the dell, the fans close to the pitch which always made it a great atmosphere. Its a shame when we moved we never made the stadium more unique, they all feel the same the same there days. We had to move to progress sadly Lowe and his bunch of fools have seen us end up where we are, noting to do with ground as fans we need to back the players if we do and they are on song we will start to win games. Up the saints!!!!
