Professor Posted 27 September, 2010 Share Posted 27 September, 2010 For a moment, logging onto the oS I thought the updating on injuries was going to show an improvement. Insrtead it was a disapointment. The OS says that 'Every Week, Mo Gimpel will give us the latest injuries news from the training ground'. But he doesn't. Currently the report says that Frazer Richardson will return from his dislocated shoulder in October andf that Adam Lallana (knee) will be back end of October. There are no other reports. Doesn't Mo know that Lallana played on Saturday for part of the game and is expected to be in the squad for Yeovil? Richardson must be very short of match fitness, so 'October' looks a little optimistic as the month begins this week, but maybe he will be back by the end of the month. If so, why not 'end of October', as per the Lallana report? Then we know that Connolly, Gobe4rn and Wotton have all been laid of recently, but thgere's no mention of any of them in Mo's report. Could do better.

Imagine Irvines face when he found out AL was ont he bench!
Turkish Posted 27 September, 2010 Share Posted 27 September, 2010 I am sure mo Gimpel has more pressing things to deal with on a monday morning than updating the website so people can moan about it on here. Making sure AL Suffered no agrivation from his 20 minutes on saturday for one.
The Cat Posted 27 September, 2010 Share Posted 27 September, 2010 I think we should keep up the physio report but just lie. Lambert was decapitated in training today, head successfully sown back on, hopeful he'll be back in training next week. Barnard's leg dissolved this morning in the bath. We've sawn off David Connelly's last remaining injury free leg and sown it onto Lee. Showing good signs of recovery although it's still early days and he may end up walking with a slight limp. David Connolly now only has one leg. We're thinking at his age it's probably best to just use him for spare parts now. Kelvin Davis is suffering from piles. They are really quite big, I tried to shove them back inside his butthole, and squirted a tube of anusol up there. Hopefully he'll be fit for tomorrow. Dan Harding has lost his penis. We've all had a look for it, but to be honest it's so small it could be anywhere.

Pulis was thought to be suffering from footballers brain, but then a 2nd opinion ruled that out categorically meaning another 4 months hiding under the physio's table. Could do better. Listen to Nigel Adkins in interview and you will find out why. He has mentioned a number of times he doesn't like to make public this information as it gives the opposition a clue as to how Saints might play. Thus he wants to keep injury news a secret as it gives an advantage. It may mean the opposition don't know how to prepare if they don't know who will start for Saints. That is more important than telling the fanbase what is happening and could be the difference between a win/lose/draw. But all that Mo neeeds to do is pick up the phone and give a quick verbal report to someone who will key in the update. Not really a problem. As NickG has shown, there is an interest in having updates, and the OS does promise something that it doesn't deliver. Either take away, or amend, the promise, or keep it. Is that too much to ask?
