dannysfc Posted 17 February, 2011 Share Posted 17 February, 2011 Watching the Sparta Prague v Liverpool Europa League Game Tonight I saw a glimpse of Thomas Pekart the ex Spurs and Saints player who came on at the end so I want to see who remembers him and did he do anything Good or Exciting for Saints because I don't think I can remember if he did or not!?! Thoughts? Thanks! COYR !!

Hatch Posted 17 February, 2011 Share Posted 17 February, 2011 I must have been in a coma when he played for us
JRM Posted 17 February, 2011 Share Posted 17 February, 2011 He was rubbish for us from what I can remember but sounds like he is scoring a lot for Czech u21s so maybe he has improved!
Papa Shango Posted 17 February, 2011 Share Posted 17 February, 2011 He's pretty good on Football Manager. Don't remember him doing much for us apart from that goal against Ipswich but he was only young and it looks like he's improved a lot since then. The9 Posted 17 February, 2011 Share Posted 17 February, 2011 Pekhart was very good for us in his first game, was then quite promising in a couple of others (I felt he was our best striker for about a month when the completely untried McGoldrick was the main alternative long before he got remotely decent, his movement was way ahead of anything anyone else was doing at the time, but then that's why we got relegated). Then for some reason we shunted him out wide to fit the 4-3-3 (though I still say it was more of a 4-2-1-2-1) and Poortvliet started playing Robertson ahead of him, and he got understandably peeved and rotted in the reserves looking pretty crappy for the rest of his loan. I thought he had potential, but I think he had a bit of an attitude.

the saint in winchester Posted 18 February, 2011 Share Posted 18 February, 2011 1 goals in 9 games for us I think they said on Five Live tonight. Yeah, but what a goal that 1 goal was! I thought we had a cracking player in on loan, but sadly he never found the net again ...
Huntingdon Posted 18 February, 2011 Share Posted 18 February, 2011 I was amazed when I first saw him play. A Czech U21 striker, playing for Tottenham! You would expect him to brilliant wouldn't you, but the guy couldn't trap a bag of cement
