spyinthesky Posted 24 March, 2011 Share Posted 24 March, 2011 For me A good pal and a real nice bloke, who supported the Saints for over 50 yrs, passed away unexpectedly. He took his grandson to the Sheff Weds game last Sat and will no doubt be looking down on us with a smile on his face that the last game he saw was a Saints win with his beloved grandson We sat together at St Marys since day 1 and previously stood underneath the East Stand We also went to away games good and bad and often laughed about the 7-1 hiding at Watford for a number of reasons. He will be up there now demanding promotion whilst very much concerned about the loved ones he has left behind for the moment. DONT LET HIM DOWN!!! Lets B Avenue Posted 24 March, 2011 Share Posted 24 March, 2011 I was another of those who happened to be at Vicarage Road in 1980 ! There were not many of us I recall RIP fellow Saints fan. I remember there being more than few next to the home fans and that I got bitten by a police dog during an (ahem) altercation with some of them when a fence came down. RIP to Spy's mate. Saint Fan CaM Posted 25 March, 2011 Share Posted 25 March, 2011 Not much more to say thats not been said already - I hope I am able to take my Grandson to see Saints (his Dad's a fan too but has to work Saturdays), but I've got a few years yet to wait. RIP fellow Saint - never good to lose one of ours, but at least he's left a legacy with his Grandson.
