Reggie Dunlop Posted 29 March, 2012 Posted 29 March, 2012 Payback Go round to there place and where your dirty trainers covered in mud, put your feet up on the sofa, drink there beer eat all the food in the fridge burp fart and remember to ask for a lift anywhere at any time of night and send 20 odd texts using 1 word per text moaning about how unfair they are being, get home and relax and enjoy the peace.
SNSUN Posted 29 March, 2012 Posted 29 March, 2012 Don't go turning their rooms into gyms or games rooms etc, if your family are anything like my family, they'll be back! I moved to Chiswick in '00, hopefully for good. That lasted 3 months. My sister has moved out on 4 different occassions, for varying amounts of time (she was even engaged for one of those), but sure enough she always came home. Now, I'm getting married and quite happy living with my missus, but we know that if anything happened to my job, we'd be skint and have to move back in with my folks - and my sister just last month moved out into her own place... and she already hates it and wants to move home. I'm not a fan of my mother, but it's a compliment to both my parents that we still think of their house as "home". ( Me less so, I'd like to add I've been living out of there for four years now and have NO intention to return!) Now they finally have the house to themselves, they've gone mental and created a mini zoo, containing dogs, parrots, fish and soon to be a gerbil or two. my sister and I think they're compensating for not having children around anymore - despite the both of us being around our 30's.
Brizzie Saints Posted 30 March, 2012 Posted 30 March, 2012 Any advice :scared::scared: yeah move before they come back

hutch Posted 30 March, 2012 Posted 30 March, 2012 Any advice :scared::scared: Get some more in. Fostering or adoption. Keeps you young. I'm 55 now, and we've got 3 at the moment all under 1yo. Great fun.
Toomer Posted 30 March, 2012 Posted 30 March, 2012 I took us a few months to get used to our daughter not being there, was not so bad when the two boys left, but now she has been gone about four years we have got used to the peace and quiet I still get the odd phone call where she says dad yiu know how much I love you and I reply "how much".
