Happy clappers positive media thread

I think we could make it easier for everyone and have a thread with links to articles about our football club.

We are getting a lot of attention at the moment and rightly so, and many articles are very positive.

Many of us probably like to read those articles and if we can have them in one thread and discuss them it makes it easier for us all.

And easier for the Non Happy Clappers to stay away from of course.... :D

Here is one I thought is very well written.

I particularly liked this extract...

So it’s turning into a stellar season for Southampton Football Club and taking the evidence in front of us, Nicola Cortese does appear to have pulled off a strategic plan straight out of the IMD Business School cookbook.

Unlike Reading’s Anton Zingarevich, the Executive Chairman has realised the importance of investment, famously shelling out a combined total of more than £20 million to attract Clyne, Ramírez and Rodriguez, swiftly identified young talent where it is there, while encouraging both Nigel Adkins and Pochettino to stick to the passing brief (an absolute sina que non in Premier league these days – just look at Stoke currently, not to mention the Reading of Adam Federici’s hoof balls.)

He’s also acted ruthlessly in dispensing of Adkins and enabling a possible move to the next level while he’s ‘done a Starbucks’ in persuading fans to obtain things they don’t want – who would have expected Southampton fans to buy Nottingham Forest shirts in their droves even if they were silly enough to buy Peru ones a couple of years back?

:)

They are in a healthy financial position, have a fantastic youth setup and very modern facilities which gives Pochettino all the tools to make Southampton a regular top half Premier League side and maybe one day even better [/Quote]

Blimey I remember when th Milk cup used to be the other name for the league cup in the 80's used to have a giant polystyrene milk bottle on the centre spot before kick off

What about the silly little Cartons of Unigate milk the totty would throw to the crowd at half time? I always remember v Wolves one evening a couple of Coppers walking in front of the Milton became the moving target for these now opened full cartons!

Just saw this and thought f*cking hell this will send this place into meltdown, I have a lot of time for the Bleacher Report, always interesting Saints stories and forward looking with regards to tactics and potential.

People only over react to this kinda stuff when it's posted in a new thread to give it its own 'headline'. Will probably go largely unnoticed in this thread. Good read though.
