To put things into perspective;

Charlton will be playing Forest (H), Sheff Wed (A), Palarse (H)

Donny have Brizzle (H), Saints (A), Sheff Utd (A)

Forest have Charlton (A), Plymouth (H), Sheff Wed (H)

Norwich have Sheff Utd (A), Barnsley (H), Saints (H)

And for what it's worth

Watford are away @ Reading than at home to Sheff Utd & Burnley.

4 points from this if we're lucky.

Barnsley have hit form at the wrong time for us, and I think they'll be up for it. 0 points.

Doncaster at home could be our saving grace. yes, they had a good win the other day, but this is an absolute MUST WIN. (Having said that, so was the Forest game and we screwed that one up!) Still, 3 points here IMO.

Norwich away could be 3 points, but my girlfriend is a Norwich fan and I'll be ball-less if I predict a Saints win (which we won't get anyway). So a draw here, 1 point.

I reckon that it's probably dependent on whether we get spanked at United or play well. A spanking and we'll be at our lowest ebb, a confident performance and we could be playing well in the League for the few games following.

Losing these three games will only make the current situation of it "Not being in our hands" even worse. I really do not want to spend the rest of the season hoping everyone else slips up and that we sneak a few draws and catch up.

The way this season has gone so far and the way its looking can only make me think we will flounder and not get anything from these games. After the win (last league win in fact) against Reading the agenda forced it down our throats as the begining of a new dawn, and it was only up from here... Even I, with my usual glass half empty view point couldn't concieve that we'd go on to not get anouther win since. I imagine a draw against them at home is seen as an example of how outstanding our 4-2-2-1-1 formation is and that our pretty football is once again about to bear fruit. Will it hell. I've aready started thinking about how I'd feel about a bottom-mid table finish in L1 next year...

Following and supporting Saints is becoming a real stress and depression excercise as of the last two years and I do sometimes find myself wishing at times that I had no interest but I can't ignore it. And as much as I sometimes feel detached from the current team as if its not in fact my Team at all the fact still remains that they are playing in my home citys Red and White with my clubs crest on the shirt. So for whats its worth....

I'd love 9 points, I'd settle for 6-7 and consider it an achievment. I think we will take 2 or 3 at best. Either winnning the first and then throwing it away with silly results after, or just bore drawing away, which would be fine if we weren't getting tonked at home all the time...

Rant over!! Happy New Year everyone!!!
