stevegrant Posted 31 August, 2016 Author Share Posted 31 August, 2016 Worth bearing in mind it's almost guaranteed that the club will do 100% collections for this one as well, due to the small allocation...
Nexstar Posted 31 August, 2016 Share Posted 31 August, 2016 Based on their group games last season in the Europa League it's likely there will be 5,000+ empty seats in the home end.
marc_saint Posted 31 August, 2016 Share Posted 31 August, 2016 They will give saints a limited allocation due to segregation at Sparta. ericb Posted 2 September, 2016 Share Posted 2 September, 2016 Taken this from the mickey's forum from when they played there, it's a bit old (2011) but i assume a lot of it is still relevant AC SPARTA PRAHA v LIVERPOOL UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE ROUND OF 32 – 1ST LEG GENERALI ARENA, MILADY HORAKOVE 1066/98, 170 82 PRAHA 7, CZECH REPUBLIC THURSDAY 17th FEBRUARY 2011 KICK-OFF 21.05 HOURS (LOCAL TIME) INFORMATION FOR SUPPORTERS TRAVELLING TO PRAGUE Please find below important information on arrangements for our UEFA Europa League Round of 32 – 1st Leg fixture against AC Sparta Praha, which is being played at the Letna Stadium (Or more commonly known as the Generali Arena) in Prague. Supporters travelling to the Czech Republic are advised to take due note of this information as we believe that it will assist you during your visit. The all seated stadium holding a capacity of 18,873 was originally constructed in the 1930’s and has undergone two renovations in the 1960’s and again in the 1990’s. It is neat, compact and generally in a good condition, although a lot of the seats were found to be dirty when we inspected the stadium. There is an area located on Milady Horakove Street (opposite the stadium) where cars and buses can park. There is a small cost (100 Koruna) for cars to access this facility, which is approximately a 300 metre walk to the stadium. YOU ARE ADVISED THOUGH NOT TO LEAVE ANY VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE IF YOU USE THIS CAR PARK OR INDEED ANY OTHER AREA WHEN GOING TO THE STADIUM. The stadium is relatively easy to get to from the centre of Prague and the following may assist you in reaching the ground in good time for kick-off:- Take Metro Line “A” to Station Hradcanska which is a ten (10) minute walk to the stadium Take Metro Line “C” to Station Vltavska then catch a tram to the stadium The Visitors Sector is located in the North Stand adjacent to the Main (West) Stand and tickets have been allocated in Blocks H85 and H86 in the Upper Tier and Blocks D91, D92, D93 and D94 in the Lower Tier. The Upper Tier is covered by a roof and the pitch perimeter is protected by a deep dry moat and a three (3) metre high fence, which does obstruct the view of the playing area. Lateral fencing to the sides provides segregation from home supporters and large netting is also in place in front of the Visitors Sector. PLEASE BE AWARE that the Upper Tier is very steep and supporters should take care at all times if they have purchased a ticket for this sector. Supporters in possession of tickets for the away sectors should enter the stadium through GATE 5 and can reach the four (4) turnstiles to the Visitors Sector via Milady Horakove, which is a busy wide main road leading to the stadium. To reach GATE 5 visiting supporters should walk along the full length of the East Stand, turning left to reach the rear of the North Stand passing by Gates 1A, 2, 3 and 4 which are all used by home supporters to gain entry. At Gate 5 a sign above the turnstiles reads:- “VCHOD 5 H85-86 D91-94 VCHOD 5” The visitor’s turnstiles will be open from two (2) hours before kick-off – 19.05 Hours Local Time. CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN WALKING TO GATE 5 ESPECIALLY WHEN PASSING THE SPORTS BAR SPARTA, AS THIS IS A LICENSED PREMISE FREQUENTED BY SPARTA’S MORE VOLATILE SUPPORTERS. HOWEVER ASSURANCES WERE GIVEN BY CLUB OFFICIALS AND THE PRAGUE POLICE THAT THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY ISSUES ON THE OCCASION OF LIVERPOOL’S VISIT. Supporters will before entering the stadium be subjected to a body search by Private Security Stewards employed by the host club as well as a ticket check. Queuing lanes are in place outside Gate 5 and you are advised to arrive as early as possible at the stadium to avoid congestion at the turnstiles. Once inside the stadium a further ticket check will take place by Private Security Stewards and you will be directed to the Sector in which your ticket is allocated. There are good female and male toilet blocks on the Lower Concourse, just inside the turnstile entrance. There is one catering / refreshment unit on the Lower Concourse which serves both the Upper and Lower tiers. An ambulance / medical vehicle will be located close to the entrance to the Visitors Sector should any supporter require medical attention / treatment. DISABLED SUPPORTERS should also go to Gate 5 whereupon you will be escorted to the Disabled Viewing Platform (Block A20) in the Main (West) Stand. YOU SHOULD BE AWARE THAT YOU ARE IN A STAND RESERVED FOR HOME SUPPORTERS. Toilets are provided but to access supporters will have to go outside into the area behind Gate 1. UNFORTUNATELY AT THE TIME OF PREPARING THIS INFORMATION SHEET CONFIRMATION HAD STILL NOT BEEN RECEIVED FROM AC SPARTA PRAHA AS TO WHETHER TICKETS FOR LIVERPOOL FC DISABLED SUPPORTERS AND THEIR CARERS / ASSISTANTS WOULD BE SENT OUT IN ADVANCE OF THE GAME OR ISSUED AT THE STADIUM ON 17TH FEBRUARY. Any articles contravening the ground regulations or deemed to be dangerous will be confiscated and retained by Security Officers and/or the police. For example:- Flag Poles Flares Bottles CIGARETTE LIGHTERS Umbrellas Air Horns Knives Scissors Fireworks Alcohol VIDEO CAMERAS Guns Supporters taking flags and/or banners to the game will be asked to place them on the segregation fences to the sides of the sector and on any unused seats. Access will be denied to any supporter/s carrying alcohol or drugs or if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. SUPPORTERS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT ALCOHOL IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC CAN BE CONSIDERBALY STRONGER THAN IN THE UK. For safety reasons Liverpool supporters will be requested to remain in the stadium at the end of the match for a period of between fifteen (15) and thirty (30) minutes. Please look after your ticket as AC Sparta Praha has advised that duplicates will not be issued. We have also received the following advice from the British Embassy in Prague to pass on to all of our supporters travelling to the Czech Republic for the game:- 1)You do not need a visa to enter the Czech Republic but your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay. 2)It is recommended that whilst in Prague you always carry some form of photographic identification. 3)Ensure that you are suitably dressed whilst in Prague as the weather could be cold and wet. Whilst temperatures both during the day and at night could be considerably lower than in the UK. Please check the weather forecast for Prague before leaving the UK. 4)Do not drink alcohol to excess because if it is evident to the Security Staff / Police at the stadium that you are under the influence you may be refused entry to the game. 5)Please take care at all times if your seat is located on the Upper Tier of the stadium as it is very steep. 6)Please be aware at all times that pickpockets and bag snatchers do operate in crowded areas, particularly near exchange shops, hotels, on public transport and the main railway stations. The currency in the Czech Republic is the KORUNA and there are approximately 28 Koruna to one British Pound. Euro’s can also be used in the Czech Republic although generally it is only hotels and some restaurants that will accept the Euro currency. It is therefore recommended that when travelling to Prague you take some Koruna with you or change some pounds/Euro’s upon arriving in the city. The Czech Republic is one (1) hour ahead of the UK. Therefore if it is 6.00 pm in England it will be 7.00 pm in Prague. knellster Posted 8 November, 2016 Share Posted 8 November, 2016 For those interested (and staying long enough), Slavia Prague are at home on the Saturday afternoon. Also, this website is pretty useful for info about getting to and from the stadium http://www.stadiumguide.com/letna/ I've walked it from the old town before. The area around the ground isn't the nicest, but it didn't feel remotely unsafe. There was also a McDonald's on the way which had very efficient staff so the wait wasn't long even if the queues were.
