NickG Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Interested in others views as to whether there will be any changes, not whether you want them, but realistically can you see anything changing; Do you think there will be change in 1) manager this month? 2) manager this year? 3) chairman this month? 4) chairman this year? If I was betting it would probably be 1) no 2) yes 3) no 4) maybe but probably not

hypochondriac Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 I think we will get relegated and go into admin. We will then get rid of Lowe and Wilde (no idea about Crouch.) Some will say that Lowe will pick us up after admin but I can't see it happening. We will then have a totally different team and will have to rebuild, probably with a different chairman. I think I will be happier then than I am now because at least the fans should be fully behind the team and fully supportive (whatever fans there are left!) docker-p Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 I think Lowe will be forced into changing manager sooner rather than later by other shareholders, but will probably just install Mark Wotte as new head coach. And, alas, I can't see Lowe being replaced by a new chairmen anytime soon. Wilde, Askam, Cowan etc etc haven't got the balls to stand up to him and tell him to go. ottery st mary Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 (edited) Wotte is the same football coach as JP, therefore as bad as each other, in planning and strategy...Wotte has been the go between, from Lowey to JP etc. Total change all round required, now. He will have to go if we get relegated. There would definitely be mass protest if he clung on after that. It would be impossible for him to stay. ottery st mary Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 this one is not what you think should happen -but what you think will! OK Lowey to continue as Director of Football and Dean Gorre as his new coach and Wotte as Loweys runner still....JP running the academy. Did you make Scotland for the party or just send a present? dubai_phil Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 There will be a lot of changes. But not this week and maybe not even for the next 2 or 3 but they will happen, there is a head of steam rising in the fan base and as a wise man I know once nearly said The stars are slowly aligining for Southampton Football Club IMHO
Spades Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Having thought about it all over last night and today... i dont believe Jan will be gone within this month. I just cant see rupert letting him go, the same goes for Rupert, i cant see him going anywhere for the time being. Come May, if we are still a championship team then i think Jan will stay... however with the likelihood being that we'l be relegated i think Jan will go then. Rupert i believe will never resign. It will be the work of an outside party or Wilde changing sides again that finally gets rid of him... unfortunately i dont see that being too soon RIP SFC

NickG Posted 18 January, 2009 Author Share Posted 18 January, 2009 what I have always said is remember the hate for Lowe last time. He didn't care. Even when the ground stood almost everyone seeking his removal, when shareholders were against him, he ran it right up until the AGM when LC finally sided with Wilde. Fear falling gates and protests don't get to him or his allies

Bailey Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 I have a feeling Poortvliet may eventually resign. He strikes me as a real people person and if people turn against him then he may end up walking. Don't get me wrong, he comes across as a decent, down-to-earth guy but whether he's up to the task is another thing. Time will tell I guess. Badger Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Just a feeling: 1) manager this month? Yes.The record at home dictates that JP goes, even Lowe will realise or JP will resign. 2) manager this year? 3) chairman this month? No 4) chairman this year? Yes.RL will eventually be forced out. Viking Warrior Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Lets see if there is an annoucement in the stock exchange tomorrow morning or within a couple of days. I wouldnt be suprised if Lowe and certainly cowan walked away in disgust with what happened yesterday.

Yesterday was a bad day for for the club and Lowe has played a full part in getting us to that point.
Saint_clark Posted 19 January, 2009 Share Posted 19 January, 2009 Look on the bright side guys, Lowe can't remain in control of our club forever, he has to die eventually.

He sounded ***** off on Saturday night. But as he basically criticised the fans for putting the players under excessive pressure by wanting them to win at home, I think it's time for him to draft a letter of resignation. What I would say is that if there any changes to come, then they need to be in the next 7 days before the Norwich game. A new manager needs 10 days of the transfer window. If no changes in the next week, then we are stuck with JP for the season, and it's certain relegation this way - players out of position, clueless/no tactics, tippy-tappy. We're DOOMED! Oh right some wag from the wrong end of the M27 has been posing as a lifelong fan and spreading the old horse manure again. My my what a surprise, never mind. When all that stops perhaps we'll get somewhere, it just creates confusion and nigh on mass hysteria.Perhaps some of the players actually believe it.
