BotleySaint Posted 19 January, 2009 Share Posted 19 January, 2009 Looks a definate improvement over Lancashire. But why we switched to a back three during the Doncaster game I will never know. I didn't understand it, and by the looks on their faces i'd say the players didn't either. Clueless tactician.
Rebel Posted 19 January, 2009 Share Posted 19 January, 2009 not as good as I'd hoped a bit headless and certainly hasn't gelled with Kelvin! I don't think they like each other!
s0108787 Posted 19 January, 2009 Share Posted 19 January, 2009 i thought he looked assured and composed for most of the game. He will prove to be an inspired signing - he's a defender in the mould of Lundekvam.
Junction 9 Posted 19 January, 2009 Share Posted 19 January, 2009 Quite a few stray passes from him, if he works on that he could be good.
Bailey Posted 19 January, 2009 Share Posted 19 January, 2009 To be fair I thought he had a solid home debut. He won the majority of his headers and wasn't afraid to get stuck in. Could form a decent partnership with Perry and I also think someone like Lancashire would benefit from playing alongside him.
swannymere Posted 19 January, 2009 Share Posted 19 January, 2009 At times it seemed like he was the only outfield player. Very bossy and earned the right by playing his heart out.
benjii Posted 19 January, 2009 Share Posted 19 January, 2009 Best outfield player IMO.

Chez Posted 19 January, 2009 Share Posted 19 January, 2009 won everything in the air but Donny didn't have a big target man until they brought Taylro on and every man and his dog knows he's ****. He reminded me of Daily and Killer in that he was more than happy to foul the man if he was beaten. This is just what we need IMO. Make no mistake he is not Killer, but he will get stuck in. I can see him being beaten by a quality striker but he'll do a damn sight better than Lancashire thats for sure. As for the three at the back thing, don't read too much into that. JP said he wanted to load midfield and it made sense to chase the game. The real problem was playing BWP on the left and Holmes on the right, JP needs to explain this IMO. Saint_clark Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 Quite a few stray passes from him, if he works on that he could be good. Top be fair, the midfield were hardly getting into space for him to pass to them anyway.
