Last time Saints came from behind twice to win a game

We came back from 2-0 most recently against Burnley in 2018.

In terms of coming back from behind twice to win, in the pattern of 0-1, 1-1, 1-2, 2-2, 2-3 I can't see it since we beat Burnley in the Championship in 2006 (https://www.11v11.com/matches/burnley-v-southampton-23-september-2006-274760/)

If you only want to look at games in the Premier League then it is the last game at the Dell, 3-2 win over Arsenal (https://www.11v11.com/matches/southampton-v-arsenal-19-may-2001-7267/)

I believe you are correct if this means conceding the first goal - but we won 4-2 at Stamford Bridge on Newyears Day 2002. We scored first, Chelsea scored the next two and we came back from 2-1 down.

Fond memories of this day, my first ever visit to Stamford Bridge. 2-1 down at half time, I remember James Beattie getting two of them, one a great free kick. At the end we were all singing Jingle bells x2 oh what fun it is to see Southampton win away - Hey….I was with a Chelsea fan too……

I think this might have been the 2002/03 season. The cup final season.

The question asks about coming from behind twice, which is a bit different from coming back from 2-0 down. I am guessing that instances of winning from two goals down may be more common because when you have scored twice to get level the momentum is with you. Of course at Norwich in 94 we were behind four times before winning.

I think this is almost certainly the last top flight game in 1994 eg Norwich 5-4 before Weds night where Saints were behind twice or more when winning. I’m trying to remember any 2005-2012 outside of the top flight and plenty 2-0 down eg MK Dons but not coming back twice and winning.

Remember the Fulham in 2002, was October IIRC and London based fans couldn’t travel as no Sunday trains due to very high winds. Was living in Soton area at the time so that was OK. Beattie got a hat trick and Fernandes starred against his former club. Conditions played a part.
