Only 5 years ago - unlucky to only take a point at 15th placed Arsenal. 

A win would have put us top. We had to make do with third.

Only 5 years since we were challenging at the top of the Premier League. Well, that's cheered me up no end. Thanks a bunch for the reminder of how far we've fallen in such a short period of time! 😭

I seem to remember going to Villa when we had good form and we got dicked with Ings getting a brace I believe. This was when our form nosedived. Without looking I’m assuming this Arsenal game was around the same time

I know the game you're thinking of, Villa 4-0 winners against us at their place. Ings scored.

That was the following season 21/22 In Feb time I think, and yeah our season collapsed from that point. 

This 1-1 mentioned here wasn't too far away from that 9-0 Man Utd away game in 20/21, our season kinda plateaued up to that and then collapsed afterwards. So we were still a basket case, even in 2020, 2021.

I’ve said this many times on this forum but the Villa game is the exact moment we went into free fall as a club and we’ve never recovered.

Absolutely. I remember going into the ground full of optimism and coming out wondering how we had played and collapsed like we did.
