He looked good for the 5 minutes he was given. Tricky when we have 4 CMs other than him, 3 of whom are amongst the best players in our squad and one good up and comer. Rom was signed when Charles was injured, Bragg hadn't featured much and Flynn was shitting through the eye of a needle. It was a good move at the time but now we have the other 4, I don't see him starting much. 1
Lee On Solent Saint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Didn't sound convincing, but a win is a win. Even if we had smashed them 6-0 it would still only have been three points.

But we played well enough to beat a very poor side so job done. Larin had a few good moments but his touch is poor. Should have got that shot on target in the first half. Manning was fine, because he had very little defending to do on his side so was able to link up well with Leo, who had a fairly quiet game. Edozie was fairly bright when he came on but really should have done better with that chance or squared it. Poor. Archer... Jeez. I actually feel sorry for the guy in many ways. He's basically just doing a Downs impression now and it's painful to watch. Agree with that, I think Tonda was trying to be too clever again trying to coast through the game with low intensity and you could see players deliberately slowing it down and playing in first gear 1
die Mannyschaft Posted 52 minutes ago Posted 52 minutes ago Its not really about what Saints do , we can win playing well or badly. Its all about Wrexham they need to lose 3 or 5 games or draw and lose

Sounded alright, I don’t mind the James Bree song, how many years have Liverpool sung that about one of theirs before we got onto it? a few lads kept singing songs about people being peadophiles and sex offenders which was a bit weird, particularly as one of them was about Barry Bannon who left months ago. Also had a lad near me playing Minecraft on his phone during the first half 🤦 Edited 45 minutes ago by Turkish 1

First half was a stroll in the park they barely got in our half 11 men behind the ball it seemed like their ambition was not to lose by too many. When they scored they had a short period of looking dangerous but once we got the third it was never in doubt. It was convincing in that for 75 minutes they barely laid a glove on us, from the first minute I had no doubt we’d win. Not vintage stuff but a measured performance. 1

We weren't at our best today, but didn't need to be, Wednesday were very poor. We basically controlled the game from start to finish, but in our normal saintsy way, we gave them a sniff through sloppy defending again. The goal against was very poor from us, three bloody headers and it ends up in the net, woeful defending. Other than that though, we were comfortable for the most part, and really should've won more comfortably. When Larin was on the pitch he never scored but you could see his contribution to the game, when Archer was on the pitch, well, he was just anonymous. Given how the teams above us are playing, our present surge in form may have come to late for us to get into the playoffs, either they have to lose form, or we have to beat some of the top teams, ain't gonna be easy. 2

CB Fry Posted 38 minutes ago Posted 38 minutes ago Wednesday fans excellent, singing all match apart from maybe 20 mins in the first half. Saints end felt quieter than normal but thst happens when the allocation is significantly bigger than normal and spread out over two levels. I managed to book a terrible seat behind the goal staring directly at the crossbar. Only 3 of the 4 goals were down the other end though 😞 2

WBA will be tricky but they're beatable but after that we have Coventry, a Norwich side bang in form and Ipswich with Oxford in the middle, who aren't giving up the fight. 7 to 9+ points from those and we should still be in the running. Any less and we'll probably fall short even before we reach the Wrexham game. My head says we won't make it. The teams above us may drop points but right now they're all in good form themselves. My heart says we can still do it, but it will be close. One thing today's games have done is probably cut a few of the chasing pack from the race. I think Preston down are probably out the race now, Brum if they don't win their game in hand could be too. I thought Watford would drop a bit but the better Still brother seems to have got them a few results. Derby are still a threat too. But we can only keep trying to win our own games, the rest is out of our hands.

Ha yes they were decent and sang a lot although Saints fans drowned them out from where I was. What was the song they sang for about 15 minutes just before half time? Sounded like “lovely Wednesday, lovely Wednesday, lovely Wednesday” and then something else, annoying as fuck 😂
