There's been quite a few terrible away days this season. There was coventry and qpr when we conceded 4, wolves and burnley where we had lost the game in the first ten minutes and loads more when we were just plain ****. My worst one though probably has to be sheffield wednesday as we were effectively relegated and the team didn't even turn up. At least i've been able to sample the local ales in 22 different places!

I actually enjoyed Swansea, our minibus got directed to a pub a few miles away which was very nice, on our return to the ground we got a police escort back to the ground and parked just outside the away fans entrance, crap match though.

Wolves gets my vote for the worst away day, the OB wouldnt let us go to the pub so either had to go in the ground or shopping in the local Asda. Terrible place and terrible game, glad we wont be going back there for a few seasons.

There's been quite a few that I’ve been to this season, but it had to be last weekend in Sheffield because this really brought it home how bad the situation is for us. Both on and off the pitch. It's not that I haven't realised our position, but for most supporters we go off to matches in hope and with the expectation that we can really do a lot better than has been realistically possible, especially since the New Year.

I went to the Fat Cat brew pub before hand and apart from testing all the beers on tap, and meeting some very sympathetic Shrewsbury fans, I met some London Saints and a few saints from Salisbury. It so happened that one of these guys, whose name I forget, went to his first game at the Dell on exactly the same day as me – Man City, August 1966 – our first ever game in the old 1st Division. Chatting with these fellow life long supporters brought it home how far we have fallen. We’ve had our ups and downs in the past, but nothing as critical as this.

The crap served up on the pitch just compounded how depressed I felt. It won’t stop me going to the Burnley and Forest games though. I just hope that the latter won’t turn out to be the worst this season. And what ever happens, I’ll still be going next season, week in week out and I'm sure I'll be seeing some of the familiar faces in pubs around the country.

Got to be Swansea not only for the performance but also the way the Police behaved.

Although Bristol Police ran them a close second.

Also Birmingham where I wasn't let in our end so had to watch from home end.

But performaces at Wolves (left at half time watched second jhalf in pub), Coventry, QPR are far behind as awful trips.
