  1. The fact that he's doing interviews and adverts show what a ***** he is. Utter berk too. His preaching about the England national team is pathetic.
  2. I wouldn't say we look more potent with Long in ahead of Pelle. We hassle more, we run the channels more, we gee the crowd up more because everyone loves to watch someone belt around the pitch chasing everything and that has suited us perfectly the last few weeks when we've gone back to being solid and relied on that to create chances but when we are at our best, playing out from the back and being on top of teams, I'd much rather Pelle being on the end of things than Long. We look good with Long in at the moment because it suits the way we've played, it has suited where we've been as a team but when we really get back to our best dominating games Pelle will put more away than Long will...hence why he's our top goal scorer. For all of Longs qualities, finishing chances is not one. Hopefully Austin will fill that role anyway, that's obviously the plan but he looked just as lost as Pelle did yesterday when he came on. Both are obviously not fit enough yet.
  3. Run the channels? I think he's been bought up to have a little more class about him than to run the channels. Unfair criticism about him today, think it was a neat little move to bring him on as he's the sort of player who'd find a gap when Arsenal were streaming forward and it didn't quite work out. Think he'd be better playing with strikers who aren't knackered to be fair. He's obviously got something about him otherwise we wouldn't be using him. He'll take time and next season we'll reap the benefits of his little cameos now.
  4. You've over thought that but that wont stop you from thinking you're right if the results don't go our way.
  5. If Pelle actually connects with the ball a couple of times in the penalty box today we probably win the game. At least take a point. Fine margins. They weren't better than us, they just killed the game. Koeman is spot on, we weren't ruthless enough in either box in important moments.
  6. Exactly this. That bottom paragraph from Red is laughable. Budgeted for the bottom four? Haha shut up. Take a look at what has actually happened at the club. We've spent good money and genuine what we thought were good purchases. Some of them haven't quite come off yet, shock horror not everything is going to fall is to place instantly like it did last season. Jesus christ we're not even that bad. We've had a bad couple of results, it happens, especially in a league which is incredibly competitive and tight. I can only think of two teams who are certain to go down (Norwich and Villa) and two teams who are certain to finish in the top four (City and Arsenal), the rest are going to fluctuate. The rest are going to win some games and lose games. The rest are going to have some good patches of form and some bad patches of form. Right now we're in a bad patch of form but lost his mojo, budgeted for bottom four all along and Europe is nonsense is ridiculous. Chill out. It's a long season.
  7. Midfield moved the ball a lot quicker with Wanyama off. Although I don't remember Romeu impressing from the start yet and he has had opportunities. We need a central midfielder willing to dribble and do something a little unpredictable. Our only players capable of taking on a man are on the wings and therefore we're easy to nullify, especially at home. I'd drop Davis back deeper and play Juanmi off Pelle. At home, not away. That said, we could have easily won 3-0 today.
  8. Angelman owning CB Fry there. Great stuff. I'd move to Cambodia tomorrow. Lovely people.
  9. Monreal being the best left back in the league so far is probably the main reason he's been chosen.
  10. Yeah you've changed your question by the end of your post. Stronger squad yes, stronger first team...potentially.
  11. Kelvin Davis transfer listed when you start seems odd.

    Lallana

Theo not as good as when he was here? Shut up.
  13. Stek Yoshida Fonte VVD Targett Wanyama Clasie JWP Juanmi Tadic Pelle
  14. Apparently Phil Brown has turned it down. Neil MacDonald won't turn it down if he's offered it though.
  15. Can see Lallana suiting Klopp quite nicely actually. Same with Benteke. Also as above, Klopp likes Mane.
  16. Mane in his first game Vs Arsenal was superb. Really exciting and unpredictable. Some criticised him as said above just before Xmas but frustration is just part of the package with unpredictable wingers, especially in there first season.
  17. Pretty sure Mane is only playing against Algeria next Tuesday and comes home after that?
  18. Can see them starting Rahman, Azpilicueta and Terry tbh.
  19. England have actually increased the lead over Italy in terms of European places this year so far.
  20. "1-0 to England" and "We've got a freekick" also.
  21. Exactly this. Laughable to think that anyone thinks we'll have that time and space in the Premier League. Pelle's hold up play brings us something we don't have in the team and it's vital.
  22. Been pretty quiet for a couple of games now to be fair. Montero is all about pace, Memphis has more to his game and I wouldn't be surprised to see Soares to counter act that.
  23. He obviously didn't fancy Soares up against Depay and seeing as I remember Obertan giving him the run around at one point this season then I don't really see the big deal. Really don't see the tactics as a big issue yesterday, a bit of luck and anyone else in goal for United and we win the game and everyone bangs on about how good Koeman is and how he'll be snapped up by Barca soon.

    Van Dijk

So you're saying you think he's **** but he might turn out good enough to move onto better things? Cool. Cheers for covering all bases.
  25. Don't worry about it. It literally doesn't matter.
