Don't panic, Captain Mainwaring... I don't disagree for a moment that he's brought most of it upon himself, and the rants have been ridiculous. I wouldn't have appointed him in the first place. But he inherited a squad desperately low on confidence and with a crap record throughout 2022. And it's pretty clear he's not going to be sacked any time soon. So the personal hate is all a bit small time IMO. And when I'm in the ground I'll support the team for 90 mins and boo afterwards if I feel like it.

I'd tend to agree with this, certainly in a normal season. But so many teams have been rubbish that we're still only four points off 14th place. Or to put it another way we only need to get three more points in 18 games than the three teams just above us. It's certainly not impossible. COYR

I also thought of Pukki as a deadline day deal. My original suggestion for Prem experience was Chris Wood, but Forest got there first. No idea if Norwich want to deal, but if you had to put money on someone scoring 6-10 goals in the second half of the season - would you pick Pukki or a 20 year old winger from Rennes? I know where my cash would be. There's no guarantee of anything, and Sulemana might turn out to be the next George Best, but if we're placing a bet on an instant impact we could do a lot worse than Pukki. From where I was standing, I thought Diallo was ok today. Lavia different class but clearly being carefully managed at the moment. The ref was a joke, we were toothless, and we can't defend set-pieces. Haven't seen the replays but it was way too fucking long between JWP scoring and VAR/ref overturning it. Absolute joke.
