I'm glad today is a sell out but generally this season our attendances have been pretty poor as far as I'm concerned. Our current capacity is about right I think. It's embarrassing enough seeing a few thousand empty seats on motd. We don't need a few thousand more. I'd love to have a more characterful stadium rather than the flat-packed bowl we currently play in. I'm glad we've made some efforts to jazz it up a bit with red and white panels, new red surround around the pitch and the new screens coming in. That's the best we can hope for right now. Major development or a rebuild isn't currently justified.

Gutted I can't make this because I've just tested positve for Covid. I'll have to find a dodgy stream somewhere. I'd go with the same team as United and Spurs.

Does this Dan guy ever have anything positive to say about Saints? I don't understand why he was employed at the Athletic to cover us. Surely no Southampton fans are interested in his negative, low quality articles? I cancelled my subscription months ago.

Seems a little strange to say they have a name in mind if it's truly over 2 years away. That's a very long time in football. I've never known of a situation like this at another club (at least not publicly).

Great first half performance but haven't capitalised. We all know the script.

Rotation is important but making 10 changes against decent Championship opposition is just naive. We could have played with 2 or 3 additional first team players to take more control of the game giving us a better chance of settling it in 90 minutes. We may not have found ourselves chasing the game and certain players Ralph wanted to keep rested may not have been required to play. Our early selection guaranteed a tight game in my opinion.

I felt any striker coming on should have been Adams. In fact Adams should have started in a front two with Long in my opinion. Broja shouldn't have played a role today.

Thought Caballero had a good game.

I could tell immediately it was bad. Shouldn't have made him play on he looked in a lot of pain. I reckon his knee will swell like a balloon now. It was a very cynical foul but I feel Ralph has to take some of the blame for his initial selection. I also felt Adams should have come on instead given that Broja is the star striker for us this season and we can't afford to lose him.
