Well done Saints. Deserved win but jesus did we made it hard for ourselves. Some quality defending from Salisu and Mccarthy saved us in that second half. I think with Broja in the team, we'd be looking at a 0-3 scoreline.
-
We just can't kill the game off. Our composure infront of goal is so poor. Shame we don't have Broja. Second half will be much harder as we know.
-
Fancy Adam Armstrong to end his drought this Saturday.
-
That would be a dream come true. They're all terrible. Worst team in the world.
-
You know what you're going to get with Ralph. A team that works hard and is well drilled in pressing. You'll also get questionable team selections and substitutions. I'm indifferent towards him at the moment after some embarrassing results and regular dropped points from winning positions. It seems the players still want to work for him though.
-
Great to see Smallbone back. I really rate him and although his shooting is rusty to say the least, he got involved in our forward play well.
-
Lyanco really shined today. Couragious performance and shame his header didn't go in during extra time. I haven't seen a header like that from any of our other currect CB's. I hope Ralph took notice and gives him his chance ahead of Bednarek. Forster has impressed with his last few appearances too.
-
Given Bednarek's recent performances and Lyanco's couragious effort tonight, I would love to see a Salisu-Lyanco partnership.
-
Walcott shouldn't be near the starting 11 now that Armstrong and Smallbone are back.
-
I knew big Fraser would save one but we didn't have any of our more reliable penalty takers on the pitch so couldn't take advantage. Fair play to Smallbone for stepping up. Probably wasn't the best idea though.
-
Long and Walcott. It was all going so well too.

We need KWP in the first team!
-
Also, we should definitely do more set-piece defending in training.
-
Same old story. Looking promising and then sucker-punched. Happens every game. Star performers have been Lyanco and the Saints fans. Our forwards have pressed well but been useles on the ball. Chelsea only need one moment. We need many and even then we probably won't score.

Personally, I wouldn't care if he cried after every game. It's the performances on the pitch, the team selections and the game management that I care about.
-
Just googled him. How TF is he 26? Is this another Samuel Eto'o situation?
-
I haven't just formed this opinion 😂
-
Because he keeps choosing the players that continue to make those mistakes. Players like Walcott chosen over Tella, Armstrong or even Djenepo and then leaving it far too late every game to make subs. What's the point in bringing A Armstrong on in the 89th minute? Dropping leads is a common Ralph trait. This isn't based on today. It's based on the last two years and I'm finally sick of it. The buck stops with the manager.
-
I've given up with Ralph.
-
Please take Walcott off. Get Stuart on!

https://www.skysports.com/football/southampton-vs-burnley/preview/446376 "James Ward-Prowse is back from suspension" Is this correct?
-
James, without fail, always shoots to his bottom left when taking a penalty.
-
So there ends JWP's consecutive Premier League minutes record. Great achievement, sad to see it end in that manner.

We've lost our captain for 3 games. He was having a good game I thought and it felt to me like we were in with a shout of winning. But now, ultimately, it's another game where we haven't looked like scoring in open play and we've gaineed nothing for our efforts again.
