  1. Long getting into all the right positions and making all the right runs but still can't finish. Frustrating player.
  2. We're linking up really well after these subs. Tella, Adams, Redmond and Diallo especially. Redmond has been class.
  3. Excellent from Djenepo.
  4. He is still slow of the mark but he's not making any runs or finding the space to get into dangerous positions. Hasn't done anything with the ball either.
  5. Salisu is great at reading the game and tackling but my god he's dodgey on the ball.
  6. Elyounoussi has been missing for the first 45. Just how I remember him. Hopefully we're looking for an attacking midfielder because he doesn't convince me.
  7. Saw this on Twitter yesterday. Turned out to be a false report. Telegraph haven't made any such article.
  8. Are there not other avenues of income besides transfers that help increase our budget such as prize money and television rights?
  9. England fans will have known how the Danes felt.
  10. Yeah, after our early goal, we really didn't do that much. It was a disappointing performance given the players at our disposal and the importance of the occasion. I thought we looked knackered after 60 minutes but didn't make a sub until the 70th by which point Italy had already equalised and taken the initiative. You could tell Mancini had managed major finals before by keeping his team fresh throughout the game.
  11. Where were the experienced players for the pens?
  12. Sterling has been awful so far today. Surprised he's still on the pitch.
  13. Luke Shaw has been my player of the Tournament.
  14. Then he'll be staying.
  15. Good signing. Hopefully we're not paying 65k a week.
  16. I think this is the best solution. Being a Saints fan, he won't begrudge another season I hope and it will allow for a period of transition. We need to get his replacement this summer though and perhaps allow Ings to mentor whoever they may be.
  17. Agree with MLG. Recent success obviously trumps historic success. Clubs such as Villa, Everton and Leeds are clearly more successful and bigger clubs but I doubt players are dreaming of playing for them anymore. All of them regressed in a big way and two of them were in the second division very recently. Leicester City would beat all these clubs to signings despite being less successful and less 'big'. Players will be more concerned with recent success, salary and their future prospects. Remember all these players were born and grew up watching football probably from the late 90's onwards. Players that join us don't care we won a cup in '76. They will however care that we've been established in the Premier league for a decade, promote the development of youth, and are very open to letting them leave for better things. This is, I suspect, why we beat Leeds to Perraud. That is not to say Villa aren't a more attractive club at the moment but to highlight that none of their players care what they won in the 80's.
  18. Villa won't be finishing in European places and they won't be spending what we'd want for JWP. Non-starter.
  19. There goes our set-piece specialist.
  20. Southgate needs to be brave and take Harry Kane off.
  21. To be fair, I think even the Villa fans have been cringing at Birmingham Live.
  22. I'd be surprised if he left this summer. If his ambition is European football, he won't be joining Villa. Also, tying himself down to a club that are far more reluctant to let their players move on may well stop his progression to a top 6 club such as Leicester City if he does have another great season.
  23. Interesting to see Harrison Reed linked with Leeds.
  24. I'm trying to get behind Ralph but if we're rotating between Forster and Mccarthy again next season he needs to go.
  25. As has been said, that money will disappear.
