Ref absolutely sh11te again today in the first half, not to mention the lino needing Tadic to talk him into putting his flag up to prevent Liverpool's obviously offside "3rd".
-
Although set up Pelle's goal with nice touch.
-
Already posted saying "actually he's improved". Stronger all round and better touch than he had for us - he looks like a Prem player now.

Panini Euro 2016 Sticker Album - Only 4 Saints players featured
The9 replied to yellow&blue's topic in The Saints
Assuming they do what they did for the World Cup, do the online album via the app, satiates the collector need and costs nothing once you find a code generator online. You're still limited to a certain number of packs a day anyway, and global swaps too. -
Nice to see Josh Sims getting himself involved there, starting to step up. Gallagher looks massive now in the shoulders compared to a couple of seasons ago, good saves by Gazzaniga, and nice to see Rodriguez getting some games. Interesting to see Reed and Targett playing and not with the first team squad, bit of a surprise certainly for the latter.

Weird game. I was convinced we wouldn't score 3, even when we didn't panic at 2-0 down and reverted to our best formation of 4-2-3-1 at half time. Wanyama and Romeu in front of the back 4 closed down the space we'd given Coutinho in the first half and he drifted out of the match and as a result stopped pressing when we had the ball, which had been one of the problems in the first half because he was working his guts off without the ball. Mane coming on also changed the game, Liverpool had something to think about other than just defending headers and waiting for Pelle to backheel it to them. Wanyama's run to the corner was hilarious, but it's going to take more than that to get me back onside after his indiscretions this season. Ward-Prowse looked possessed when he came on and was lucky not to get booked for three reckless challenges, but it was nice to see the effort. Somehow I managed to be not that impressed with us winning and didn't even jump around for the third, I should have been delirious but Sunday and knowing we couldn't celebrate properly took it out of me. Shrugged at Lallana at the final whistle.

Somewhere between 85 minutes and the final whistle, fairly sure it was 3-0 (and missing an absolute sitter too) by then...
-
Not from Coleman or Hodgson... though I did retire from International Football in about 2003.
-
I'd pick him too.
-
It's because he's a registered user not a full member. No PMs.
-
Seeing as they're missing Bale, Ramsey, James Collins, Paul Dummett, Dave Edwards and Andy King and have named a 26-man squad, he makes it pretty much by virtue of existing at a League One or above standard.
-
Go ahead and find some evidence. Pretty much all he did in the last season was say "we'll see" when people asked if he was staying whilst we were in the top 4.
-
Difficult to judge when they play different roles in the DM position - Makelele was doing it all himself, not the same as being part of a pair.

There's a massive sideways blue one up there ^^^^^^

England kit for EURO2016 revealed - what the...?
The9 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I actually quite like the new Euros ball (white with limited colours on it) - it also uses a well-used template pattern for the pieces, so it'll already be familar to the players: "Quite like" is more than I can say for the next Premier League ball (they've mocked up the new Premier League logo on it): For once the Prem winter ball looks like a subtle alternative: -

To give you an idea, the old kit is still £15 there at the moment and they were £45 at launch (RRP £60), if you wanted the one the same as the players it was £90 and is still out there for £35 at the LEAST. New one is £65 RRP. -

You'll note that Brazil have managed to avoid the crappy 2 tone sleeves (though they do have an armour-look to the shirt front which is shared with Portugal and the USA). -
Or even 16,000 of them getting drowned out by 300 Newport fans. Who managed a "can we play you every week?" amongst other things.
-
I'll pass, I'm trying to only buy ones I could at least wear in theory.

The only remotely similar concept I have to relate to it was the fans' matches in 2003/4, when shockingly Saints Forever fielded the best side they could for as long as they could based on a few trials and a heap of training sessions, and Pompey Online put out a rolling line-up of 30-odd people which looked like basically anyone who turned up on the day. Obvs we won both games by 4, but still not the Skate cynicism you might have expected. Either that or they still had that inferiority complex and were beaten before they got out there. Anyway... I'd pick Bale, and at left back.
