Schneiderlin's record of goals for and goals against whilst on the pitch over the whole of last season (+0.93) was the highest in the entire squad. He is, therefore, the most influential individual Saints player in terms of goals scored and goals not conceded. You may be astonished at what happens if we don't replace him with an equally good player.

We'll sign him for the first 3 years of a 4 or 5 year deal and probably ship him out after that. No mature player has resale value if their contract expires, it makes little difference.

Looks pretty generic to me... I haven't really been a fan of Umbro since their comeback, loads of plain shirts like the unpopular black away in the L1 promotion season but with even less effort and detailing - the Derby home shirt this season is an exception, but mostly they just seem to be incredibly dull and training shirt types.

He scored twice against Newcastle, so he's proven that on occasions he is good enough to play in the Premier League. We can't afford to sign absolutely top tier players, and he represents exceptional value for the upside he might bring from achievements previously in his career, and if his downside is that he only wins us the match every 15 games then that's hardly a risk to worry about. His defensive workrate in supporting Bertrand seems to get overlooked every time, plus this is a player who scores every 8-10 matches and has done throughout his career, he's actually still ahead of his average for us.

To MLG it (but using real life), the only difference is whether x player suggests he might be interested in a move and if y player has an opinion on where he should go, or whether y player approaches x player to suggest his club is looking for a player and they'd be interested in him specifically. One's tapping up, the other isn't.
